Excellent jigsaw for my purposes!
I am very pleased with this jigsaw. It is small...intended for hobbyists. I use it to cut shapes out of 1/4" acrylic that are used as silhouette dies. Once you've changed the blade once, it is a snap. It does have some vibration but once it is secured to a base and your into the material being cut, vibration is not a problem. I'm so happy with this purchase

Perfect foe small, accurate cutting projects.
The saw is the perfect size and strength for the miniature work I do (ships, buildings, terrain etc. It is easy to maintain and set up. If it were a metal body, it would be really perfect, but that's the one detraction I see: pLASTIC BODY= VIBRATION, and it's pretty raucous sometimes. It's definitely not a dealbreaker, though and I highly recommend the saw. I use a regular 16" scroll for any of the larger projects such as 14" or thicker stock, but details are the hard part and this saw handles them well.

THE COST IS IN THE BLADES
A complete piece of junk. I have been struggling with this garbage for a year, The blades break or fall out , the collar flattens the fork that holds the blades. A complete waste of money. 10 blades will cost you 15 dollars then tax, then they will charge you 10 bucks to ship an item 6 inches long and a .5 inches wide that weighs virtually nothing. 10 BUCKS! They are making a KILLING on the fake shipping costs. Wish I had never bought it.

Scroll Saw
This scroll saw was an excellent buy. Works brilliantly. Extremely well made.Just need to remember that the power is different in New Zealand. We run 230/240 Vac. Saw was 110vac

Great idea but not sturdy and slow
I absolutely love the idea of a tabletop/benchtop scroll saw. Unfortunately this one needs to be just a bit beefier. It cuts metal very slowly and won't cut straight for long. I'm sadly returning this and hopefully Micromark will make a bit bigger version of this item in the near future.

Great saw!
Is great for my projects. Love the variable speed and the whole set up. Took a few minutes to get the blade installed but it us easier with practice. Highly recommended!

Impossible!! Noisy, Scratched Metal, Broken blades!
Not for metal! I bought this machine to cut 22g brass - I specifically chose this one because it had the pedal, which I thought would hold down the material while cutting. It did not. It jumps, scratched the brass and the sound is so loud it’’s impossible to concentrate thinking the machine is going to explode or something. Huge thud noise. The other thing that happened is it broke the blade. I tried to use the jewelers blade next as mentioned in a comment that it’s ok to use - not at all! That broke too! The idea is good but what good is it really if it makes the job harder. I am better off hand sawing. Maybe it’s good just for wood but the sound is still too much. Had to return. 😔

Works for what it is
I got this to cut small pieces of thin woods and it mostly does the job, changing blades is a bit involved but you’ll get the hang of it. One problem I have is that the included clamps don’t stay on, they vibrate off and they are not long enough. Another is the included fence is short and hard to use. But i’ve managed to use it a lot and for the price its been worth it.
