Posey 3656XL Torso Support for Geriatric Chair, XL

My father has paralysis on one side from a stroke, so sitting up in a wheelchair is a feat for any extended period of time because he begins to shift and slide down. There were several times it took having to recline his wheelchair and use his sling to slide him back up - he's 5'11 and 275 pounds. A regular wheelchair strap around his waist was helpful, but not very comfortable. The Foam Torso Support works great for holding him up and back into his chair securely, so now when we take him out to doctor's visits or simply get him out of bed and into his wheelchair to move about, he can sit up for longer periods more comfortably.

I feel so much more comfortable leaving my sister on the wheelchair.

Waist strap is fine, shoulder straps are really long. I need to fold and sew them but that being said it works like it is supposed to.

For my type elec. wheelchair it didn’t work, it went around me fine but slid up on the back of the Hoveround. I donated it to my nursing home to be used with a manual wheelchair.

Doctor recommends NOT TO USE. Unfortunately, I waited too late to get my money back. The downside of ordering on line. Return period is very short. Was given as gift to great Aunt. By the time she received a response from her doctor which is a DO NOT USE, the return period had elapsed.
