Nice Roof Rack
This is a nice roof rack. The box arrived pretty beaten up but nothing inside was damaged.Assembly was straight forward, I did not even need the directions, but I almost never read directions anyway. This rack is strong and sturdy when installed and supports my 3 ladders with no issues and I am sure it could support 3 more if need be.I think the price was reasonable and I would buy it again.5 STARS

UPDATE 1-14-25 Heavy Guage Tubes
UPDATED PICS 24-30:Seller sent a replacement. The coating was much better with only some very minor flaws.I still consider the roller to be very poorly designed and too light duty for any real ladder. This time both taped ends slid off easily with the plastic bushings coming off with the "bandages". If you intend to use the roller I still recommend washers between the steel frames and the bushings to keep them from coming off. I haven't yet tried but hopefully a length of PVC or CPVC will fit perfectly inside the roller tube as I plan to reinforce it before using. For the ladder rack I might manage a 4. For the roller attachment a 1. 1+4=5 divided by 2=2.5. I rounded up to give this a 3.End of update----------------------------------------------------------Pics 1 through 16 are where the coating was chipped, missing, or otherwise flawed.Pic 17- These won't last. With exposure to the elements I'd be willing to bet that they start splitting in very little time due to not only thin material but also the fact that they seem too small and were forced on. My guess is they fit the raw metal great but once it was coated they were too small. You can see where they are stressed around the tube ends.Pic 18- The ends of the rollers, the cap with bearing, had tape wrapped around them. When I unwrapped the tape the foam protector slid off with the cap still in it. These are simply pressed in and all the weight on the roller is riding on these two end caps. There is even debris that looks like plastic in the bearing.Pic 19- there is a lot of space between the roller and supports. Considering the fact that the ends come off so easily you need to stack washers or something else to fill the gap.Pics 20 and 21- The holes on all the supports are the same large size and instructions say to attach the roller supports to the "rear". As you can see the holes are much too large and are simply covered by large washers. Not a good fit. Looks like something someone made a mistake on and tried to hide.Pic 22- The cross bars fit very loosely and are only secured by very small sheet metal screws. This will allow water to enter and, considering the quality of the coating will lead to rust in very little time. Not only bad for the structure but will wind up leaving rust stains on your vehicle. I suggest sealing the top and sides but leaving the bottoms open so any water that does get in has a way out. I also recommend using larger screws, probably lag bolts, to secure the cross bars to the supports.Last pic:Last I looked there were no good options for mounting a rack onto a Grand Caravan, no custom made racks. I saw where a company had fitted another type to a GC and where an individual mounted one to his with rivet nuts. Determined to have one for my van I knew I could make this one work by cutting the tubes shorter once I determined where to drill the holes. It will be a simple job but I would note that you should only attempt a similar project at your own risk. There are things to consider like airbag and wiring location as well as structural integrity. That said I will be mounting this but since cutting the tubes isn't the only issue now with the design and manufacturing flaws it will be going on the back burner. I just took the pic to give you an idea of the possibilities. With the heavy gauge tubes and supports it is a shame it falls so short on the rest.

Solid rack
Installed this on our work van and we love it. Now we have a spot to carry our pvc tubes full of materials giving us more space in the van. Instructions were clear and it didn't take too long to assemble, you will obviously need some ladders especially for the high top vans. The tubing is nice and thick, paint job looks like it will withstand the climate for a long time, and it is very sturdy once assembled. Great price for what it is.
