A MUST READ !!!!!
Dr. Starr has done it again. Her first book "Quantum Self-Hypnosis" is a tremendous book that is informative, easy to read, and extremely practical - this book has the same character. I would recommend that you read "Quantum Self-Hypnosis" first before reading "Quantum Hypnosis Scripts" if you are new to Self-Hypnosis or need a refresher on the subject. Saying that, the book "Quantum Hypnosis Scripts" can be used on its own with tremendous success. I have read both books and agree with Dr. Starr that "...this book was written as a companion book to 'Quantum Self-Hypnosis.'"Enough of my opinion - let's see what Dr. Starr says, "'Quantum Hypnosis Scripts' is a book of full length professional Hypnosis scripts ideal for either professional use or for Self-Hypnosis, and as the title suggests, this book focuses solely on Hypnosis scripts and suggestions for their ideal use. This book was written as a companion book to 'Quantum Self-Hypnosis,' so the scripts in this book are different from those included in the previous book." Dr. Starr goes on to say, "'Quantum Hypnosis Scripts' includes 24 Hypnosis scripts plus 2 Master Hypnosis inductions, which are essential to the use of the provided Hypnosis scripts."All of these scripts are Full-Length scripts with nothing needed to be added. There are 2 full programs of scripts written to cover those wishing to lose weight or to eliminate stress. What a BARGAIN !!!!!Here we have another book by Dr. Starr that is a MUST READ !!!!! Also, included with the purchase of the book is a FREE Full-Length audio session valued at $59.00.

Great learning material
Very good Scripts easy to the point and perfect timing. I found it very helpful starting out my practice no longer use Scripts that comes natural but this is a great way to start

Stale scripts, highly directive
Some of the scripts show their age with outdated idioms. Most have a distinct directive flavor, as opposed to Ericksonian scripts, which are almost always permissive. The difference is between telling pts what to do and what to feel, vs. wondering aloud what thoughts and feelings the pt. may be experiencing. I much prefer the latter. If you like a more directive approach, then the scripts are OK, but not especially fresh or imaginative. I've been doing hypnotherapy for less than 10 years, and I frankly believe that my home-grown scripts are better than those in the book. Obviously, when I buy a book like this, I hope to learn new ideas and metaphors. I did not learn much, or read much that I haven't already seen before.

Don't waste your time or money
This book has a basic and useless Table of Contents, with 6 entries for a book supposedly containing scripts. Why not list the specific scripts contained in the book? This was possibly a conscious tactic to avoid the reader from recognising that almost every script is identical. The metaphors are, Beach, Volley Ball, Cows. The next script's metaphors are Beach, Volley Ball, Cows. Guess what? The next script is the same. This continues throughout most of the book.I felt that the author has been lazy in her delivery of value from this book. I might be overly critical of this book, however I feel that 80% of each script is the same as the last.If you have a spare space on your shelf for one more book, have an abundance of money, and think that by having a book on your shelf with the title 'Quantum Hypnosis Scripts' will increase your prestige, then buy this book. Another reason to buy this book is to gain insight into what NOT to do when writing a Hypnosis Script book. This is my two cents.

Way too repetitious
I purchased this book because of the very positive reviews of it, and because of the authors' credentials, and while it was okay, I don't know what all the raving was about. It seemed like there was really only ONE basic script, with a few lines changed in the middle. Each script started with the same beach imagery, word for word, and often phrases chosen for one issue were simply "cut-and-pasted" into a 3rd or 4th script. The basic script was fine, but this "book" could really be condensed into a single article or blog entry.
