It works great
This is a great unit for a auto garage shop. Where you can use it on many different vehicles. This does a bi-direction. It does take a little longer to find the VIN. But, that not bad. The layout of this device is not that great. There are a lot of onscreen buttons. That are not included. Needs to be upgraded later. It is missing the " Topology Diagram" . That most of the newer units have. My Autel and my Snap-On unit have them. But, it still works great. It does a lot of what my other scranner does. At a lower cost. It also has modules Places in the rear to snap on to. I'm assuming that will be release later. It is a good sizes unit. It is built well. I have dropped it 3 times so far. It is still running well. Come in a nice case with a lot of extra wires and plugs for different vehicles. It is a great starter unit for a person that is doing auto garage work on many different vehicles. Then it is worth it. If you are a profession repair person. You need to look at maybe the DS700 then. Or something else with more options. But, this will last.I like the camera on the unit. And the storing feature of storing of multiple vehicles with data and pictures. Will help to save all wave forms and charts. Nice to be able to print them too. Also this gives you a 2 year Free upgrade. But, after that. You need to pay $399 For a One year Update Subscription. Which is fine. You only need it when you need to do a vehicles that you don't have in your unit. Otherwise you will only be able to use this on vehicles that are in your unit as present time.

Good unit for the money
I picked this thing up the other day do have at my shop for our smaller fleet vehicles. Does everything it claims to. Disappointed though that it accepts expandable modules and yet Ancel doesn't seem to offer them yet, if you click on Ancel Store, it says coming soon along with a few other things that are coming soon...When exactly is soon...

Good tool but clunky navigation
This scan tool is pretty great. It does bidirectional controls and can do the ECU programming. I found the navigation to be a bit clunky when compared to similar products. And the VIN auto detect/decode feature is slower than I would expect but it does get the job done. The screen is a good size and easy to read. The battery seems to last a long time as I ran this for over 8 hours in a day and it still had battery life remaining. They provide a few recharging and powering options from wall outlet to aux power outlet in the vehicles. If you're still trying to diagnose vehicle issues with just a code reader, you are missing out and this tool is for you. Overall this is a great tool and value for the money.

Don't bother if you own a German car
Did not communicate well with my VW Taos. Returned. I bought a TOPDON direct from Topdon instead. A much better tool.

YES!
2 years of updates, and NO SUBSCRIPTIONS?! This is such a great upgrade to my Autel! I was in love with my old scanner but I hated that I was getting nickel and dimed when adding vehicle makes and trying to get updates. This scanner not only eliminates those headaches but also has so many more features compared to my old one. The bi-directional options also work 100% of the time, unlike the other scanner which makes you question your sanity regularly. The scanner itself is nice and rugged and the touch is very responsive even when using gloves. The OBD module connects super fast and stays connected to the tablet without the need to reset like some others I've owned. For the price and the awesome features, this is already a great buy. What makes it a must-have is the updates and lack of subscription. Loving this scanner!

Wow
I have and have used a lot of scan tools as a mechanic. From cheap HF to name brand of the truck. I have to say I'm really impressed with this thing. While like most scan tools it cant do everything, but it does alot and it does it well. Very easy to use and comes with every connector you could need. Big screen and durable case means I'm not worried about breaking it. With two years of updates out of the box I was able to program a new key to my wifes Lexus Nx in a couple of minutes. This thing is great for a shop or retired mechanic.

Mixed feelings, minimal results.
I've had numerous scan tools over the years so I'm no stranger to reading/clearing codes, viewing live data, and interpreting the information given based on expected readings and actual data to make a diagnosis. I have used this on an old 99 Grand Cherokee as well as a 24 versa. I have found no functionality beyond reading codes, I wasn't even able to get it to read the VINS. Others have stated they were able to adjust idle speed, ignition timing, and some other functions like door locks, horn honk, etc. I don't know if my tool is just not functioning properly or if it's only able to access those functions on certain vehicles. Based on what it's doing for me it's only a generous 3 stars

Great for any garage, can make changes that usually require a dealer service center
The NCEL DS600 Elite OBD2 Scanner, 2024 New Bidirectional Scan Tool with ECU Online Coding, 34+Resets, FCA SGW AutoAuth, VAG Guide, Full System Car Scanner Diagnostic Tool with 2-Year Update is a great OBDII test platform for any garage. I know, it's expensive, but it's worth every penny. I have two other similar testers that cost a little more than half of this one and don't get me wrong, they are also great but can't do what this unit can do. I was able to do things only a dealer can do, which they would charge at least $100 for the connection plus the minimum hourly rate. I was able to raise my idle by 100RPM (which soothes it out) and add 2* of timing (which adds a bit of power) to my 2013 Nissan Frontier 4.0L V6. I was also able to change the auto door lock from moving a few MPH to shifting out of park to lock the doors, and from shifting into park to turning off the engine to unlock them for better safety. I also changed the fob door locking to silent (no horn beep) and hazards flash twice when locked and once when unlocked.
