delicious, and a finer grind than my last matcha
this may not be the best matcha anywhere, but I am a sometime drinker from Wisconsin; I may not be the master of tastings. What I CAN say is I have had a fair bit of both regular green tea and matcha, and this is a nicer matcha than the last couple I've had. Flavor is similar, maybe a bit less bitter, but the biggest thing is the grind is clearly finer, the bits that invariably settle do so significantly slower.I think it's 5-star, both for quality and value. I am extremely happy with it here, and although I have only made tea so far (and usually cold), I would love to try this in ice cream or panna cotta.

Chinese Matcha powder...
This is a review of 7oz HYNTMYT Matcha Green Tea Powder. I mainly use matcha powder in smoothies and lattes but it is great for use in baking as well. This is first harvest USDA certified organically grown green tea from China. Lightly caffeinated, it is a beautiful green colored, finely ground powder with the typical bitter, grassy flavor. The 7oz bag is foil-lined and resealable.

high quality, organic, gunpowder style tea
Gunpowder tea is made by rolling whole green tea leaves which have been pan-fired to stop oxidation. This process creates a high-quality tea with a bold and slight smoky flavor. It is similar in quality and process to pearl tea.As the tea is steeped the tightly compressed balls open releasing the flavor of the tea leaf (see photo). Because these pellets are so tightly compressed a teaspoon of this tea will be much stronger than a teaspoon of loose-leaf tea. That makes this resealable foil bag a much better buy than a similar volume of loose tea. When comparing against loose leaf tea, its the weight that matters, not the volume! I recommend not filling your tea strainer more than 10-25% full to give the gunpowder balls space to open as the tea steeps. This tea packs a lot of flavor and keeps its freshness for a long time (1.5years) thanks to its resealable bag and the gunpowder process. I really enjoyed the flavor and quality of this tea and think it's a great deal for 1lb of organic, whole leaf tea! This is one of my favorites.

Smooth blending, vibrant green
Very finely ground green tea powder that blends well into solution in hot water--though it will gradually settle out of suspension if left to sit for a while. It's intensely green! The flavor, if you're not familiar with matcha, is akin to spinach or other strong greens; a little bitter but very fresh garden veg flavored. Great drink for winter when the craving for spring salad sets in. If the bitterness is too strong, a bit of milk or cream cuts it dramatically. Definitely an acquired taste and very different from regular green tea, but nice.

Okay matcha powder
The matcha powder doesn't really mix nicely into cold liquids for a cold tea, which was disappointing. It does mix better for hot drinks. The instructions on it also weren't correct, which I wouldn't know at all if I didn't normally drink matcha. The way the directions are written, it would have you make a far too strong latte and the latte would be cold. Just really not impressed with leading people the wrong way on a product when they may be learning from this one. While overall the matcha itself is nice, having the instructions lead people who may be new to making things with matcha really really astray rubbed me the wrong way.

Delish!
This tea has a rich, matcha flavor, and it mixes up easily. I brew some hot water in my kettle and mix with 3t of powder, using an electric whisk, which makes it nice and smooth. Then I add some oat milk, for a latte, a bit of raw Stevia, and it's bomb! I love that this is organic, and the cost is really reasonable for the amount that you receive.

not bad
Wasn't sure what to expect from this brand (the name stands for "Hey Nice to Meet You Tea", which is a backronym if I've ever seen one), but I was pleasantly surprised.Brewed 1tbsp/16oz/~170F/3min. I feel like it's easy to coax out some bitterness out from this tea, so I'd be mindful about making sure you keep your water temp in check and not brewing too long - I think 1m30s to 2m should be good. 2nd steep is decent. Don't think a 3rd steep is worth it. These leaves unfurl and take up quite a bit of volume on the 2nd steep.Light, agreeable green tea flavor; the smokiness associated with gunpowder greens mayyy be there, but it's pretty faint. Easy drinking, not too complex. This is a LOT of tea; 450g should last one person a very, very long time.

Strong tea
I do really like this tea. I'm new to loose-leaf tea, I've only brewed a few times. When I saw the instructions called for 1 teaspoon I thought that was too little and filled my tea ball. Boy was I wrong, the 1 tsp would have been plenty. I was definitely thinking I had gunpowder! Fortunately, I drink my tea cold so I was able to add lots of water to thin it down. The flavor was very good. I do recommend following the instructions. I love that unlike the other loose teas I have tried, this one stayed in the tea ball, I did not need to strain it. I love that it's organic. I really appreciate them using a resealable bag, that should keep it nice and fresh. Overall I do love the tea and I highly recommend it.
