Reliable and Effective Duct Connector Flange
This 8-inch duct connector flange is a well-designed, highly effective solution for venting / ducting applications. I used it for my kitchen exhaust system, connecting ducting through the kitchen wall, into the garage, and then out to an exterior wall. It performed flawlessly, providing a secure connection and maintaining proper airflow throughout the setup. The construction feels solid, rubber gasket makes for a tight seal and the pre-drilled screw holes make installation straightforward. However, one thing to note is that the flange width is 12 inches, which works well for basic mounting but isn't quite wide enough to align with standard 16-inch-on-center wood studs. To ensure proper attachment, I had to add blocking between studs, which added some extra effort to the installation.Despite this minor adjustment, the flange functions perfectly and does exactly what I needed for my project. If you're looking for a reliable ducting solution, this one is a great choice—just be aware that depending on your mounting surface, some additional reinforcement might be necessary.

Exactly what I was looking for
The inner "foil" layer of the flexible duct was tough enough for attachment and I really appreciated the rubber gaskets not for a seal, but for gripping the flexible duct while I attached it with clamps in very difficult places to work. I'd fish-taped through a confined crawlspace trench I had to hand-excavate. So, picture a guy on his back in dirt with spider webs hanging down trying to use a flathead driver on his drill to tighten a long long long clamp. One spider said: Hey, how-ya-doin?" I have patience. I attached it to one flange from inside the home, the other from underneath. Both ends were easier than expected. This is a quality product. It's heavy gauge and a good value.

The promised flange
This is exactly what I needed. The ventilation for my clothes drier is in the ceiling so I needed something with a collar to clamp onto. The wide metal panel completely covers the hole for optimal airflow and enhanced visual appeal. It's sufficiently sturdy so that it doesn't bend with the hose hanging off, and the beveled edges allow for it to sit flush with the ceiling despite some slight irregularities in that surface.

Sturdy, well made
Per the title, it is sturdy and the diameter to connect to the metal flex duct is perfect for the duct I used.A bit more money than I wanted to spend but it did the job of attaching to roof plywood to duct through a roof vent.

Great solution
Couldn’t ask for a better solution for this install. The old holes were stripped badly and anchors weren’t holding. The connections on this were perfectly sized to slide on easily and stay securely.

Heavily bent flange
The flange is obviously supposed to be flat in order to be nailed or screwed against the roofing boards. So far I did not flatten it and therefor am uncertain if I can get the circular flange round again. Who sends out a part in such condition?
