Q: are these shirts long? I'm an xl, but have a long torso and always end up having to buy xxl or xlt.

I’m 6’4 muscular frame and I wear a large and it’s long enough for me. Sits the right amount below my waistline. If you want something really long or something that covers your butt these aren’t long enough for that

Q: Does it fit firm at the neck and loose at midsection

I wouldn't say it is "loose" but it's definitely not super tight fitted. If you have a little bit of a gut it's going to show it. It is tight around the neck in a good way

Q: What size should I get 220 lbs 6ft 1in tall kinda chunky ?

They are cut for the athletic build. I usually wear an X- Large but need a XX-Large in the Grunt Style Tees.
