Well Designed, Well Made, Inexpensive, Easy to Use
Installed today. Took me about 30 minutes with the wife as my assistant. (Probably only 20 had I been on my own, heh, heh...) This is far better than the one I got at the big orange store eight years ago. I will be getting a second one for the other bathroom this next payday. Works perfectly, no leaks, very quiet, fills pretty quickly. This is a good product. It is also popular, so you can find a lot of anecdotal information and even videos online if you are worried about doing this yourself. I replaced mine with a similar kit in 2008 when I installed a new wax ring and seat when we bought this house. It always had this drip I could hear late at night. I was sure we had a leak under the house. Nope. It was that cheap valve, and it only got worse over time. Recently it simply started running non-stop. The Korky 528 was easier to install and works better out of the box. The price is also very reasonable. If you need to do this and are worried about it being difficult or messy, it is neither. You *will* have water to blot up afterwards. You *will* come to one of the last instructions and have a few "HUH?" moments. I would simply read the instructions and look at that one illustration that shows all the different types of lines to connect to, and work out in your head exactly which hose type is coming up from your floor or wall and carefully look at the illustration to see which parts you need to use. I have braided stainless steel over flexible hose and did not have to use a few parts. Older fixtures that use that steel gooseneck lamp-type of hose and hand bend pipes will need the extra parts. If you are not sure, do this in the middle of a week day and you can call them for help, I think. Also, you can watch videos.

Easy install, works great, easy to adjust
Not a plumber, not even a guy. My biggest issue was getting wedged between the vanity and the toilet to disconnect the water supply line. LOL Just think living alone and debating a call to 911, with the explanation of my situation. LOL ( I got unstuck) Simple to install, adjusted easily to both of my toilets. Not too loud when filling. Definitely an upgrade from what was in the guest bath. Would recommend to any level of DIYer.

Rubber tank seal and nut leaked slowly. Fixed by transferring used Fluidmaster rubber seal!
Features of Korky fill valve:Once installed, noise level during tank refill is somewhat quieter than the Fluidmaster valve so 4 stars on that. The Korky also fills the tank noticeably faster than the Fluidmaster fill valve. The Korky is also much easier than Fluidmaster to replace the internal shut off rubber gasket when that becomes necessary in 5 years or so.The Korky is more space efficient in these small volume tanks due to the smaller float.Be sure to insert the white locking tool to assure the water level is locked in.Problem Area:I could not get the Korky to stop dripping very slowly on the floor under the tanks after installing. You are warned to only hand tighten which is what I did. No joy.I ended up installing several of these Korky fill valves and encountered the leakage problem repeatedly because it is hard to grip and fully tighten the bottom plastic nut by hand in the cramped space. I ended up tightening a few of them with a small pliers to turn the nut an additional 1/4 turn or so which fixed the dripping problem but violates their warning to only hand tighten.Korky really needs to upgrade the design of their red tank sealing gasket and plastic nut. They are not reliable when only hand tightened as directed. The instructions were good but parts quality inferior as far as the tank seal gasket and nut.

My Toilet Works Great
I can't give a review on the installation, I called the property management company to send out a plumber to repair my toilet. Friday, my toilet started leaking and the tank would take hours to fill. I adjusted the flapper and the basics to my limited plumbing abilities. The Fluidmaster inside it was old and wasn't responding as it used to, so I bought this to replace it. The plumber just installed it, thank goodness for plumbers. The Korky 528 isn't quiet, it has an average level of toilet noise. The Korky 528 filled the toilet and tank quick without leaking. It works well and for the price I've no complaints.

Easy install...
... and easy to adjust. Works for a long time in my hard water but eventually needs replacement as everything else in this water does. Price is cheap enough to keep one around for emergencies.

Great fill valve
Very easy to install. Fills fast but still very quiet. The best part is that it is easy to adjust and the body is slim to fit in any type of tank.

Works as it should - I used it in all of my tanks
Name brand, which I like and trust. I have used this product for years in several tanks and the auto-fill system on my pool. Recommended!
