SonyEricsson DCU-60 USB Data Cable

The lead supplied to me (by 'Fonz Mania' in my case) doesn't have integral ferrite interference suppressors like the one illustrated.The main purpose of the ferrites is to stop radio frequency interference originating within the phone and PC from being radiated by the lead (like an antenna) and being picked up by nearby radio equipment. Unless you happen to be a radio ham or CB radio user, the absence of the ferrite suppressors is unlikely to matter to you.That aside, the lead works perfectly - I'm always inclined to worry whether something which costs so little is actually real, but to give the product its due credit, it works perfectly with the phone it was bought for - a Sony - Ericsson K800i.

I'd ordered this in the hope that I could charge the phone as well as transfer data.Unfortunately that isn't the case.Apart from that the cable is fine though. Plug fits well, as opposed to another cable I've had previously (not same seller).

I've yet to get this to work with my phone, but it could be the connection on the phone as I also have trouble charging it.

I bought this product because my new Sony Ericsson phone didn't come with a USB cable, and there was no other way to get music on. Quite simply, I've had no issues with it whatsoever. It's incredibly good value at under a pound, so if you're considering doing the same, I'd recommend it.You'll need to get your hands on some software that can handle music for you, if that's what you want to do with it. iTunes doesn't won't work with it, so you'll need to use something else, either the built-in media player, or a free alternative like Songbird or WinAmp. Photos work fine straight out of the box.

This was exactly what I was looking for and at an excellent price. There were many other sites offering these genuine cables at 2x, 3x, 4x the price of this one and they were all the same!! Delivery was very fast and the communications I had from the supplier were accurate and polite and gave an air of that they cared about my purchase - even though it was only a few £'s.Very happy with this purchase and it does exactly what I expect it to do and as it was described. Would not hesitate to use this supplier again.
