WINWING Orion2 NavyAce Throttle Combo(With Finger lift)

I bought the WinWing ViperAce EX joystick (with shaker kit) with an Orion 2 base. Everything about this set feels high-quality, with aluminum alloy construction. The buttons are mostly hard plastic, but provide a very satisfying tactile feedback. The movement of the stick is buttery smooth with no center detent (which is prevalent in cheaper joysticks). The SimApp Pro configuration software is very powerful and intuitive, and I didn't have any problems calibrating the stick. Overall, I believe that the StrikeAce EX grip and Orion 2 base can compete effectively with the higher tier joysticks from VKB and Virpil.On a closing note: Do pay attention to any special instruction notices that are provided with the packaging. After searching online, I noticed that some of the later versions of the ViperAce EX require the installation of a rubber gasket that slots into the base. This was apparently done to provide the stick with a more secure connection, and to also give you the option to install the stick at an angle. The gaskets (if needed) are included with the parts, and the instructions will tell you how to install them. Mine came with the gaskets and I was initially confused since all of the YouTube installation videos I saw didn't have them. But, my stick is secure, and everything has been working fine.

Good products but my shippmennt was not very well informed and some small parts still missing I didn't get answer back from the customer support a little bit disappointed

There is a lot of FreePlay between the stick and the base and the level of instructions are lacking in clarity and descriptiveness. Other than that, I enjoy my control. I may look into the damp or kit upgrade to see if it eliminates a lot of the FreePlay that I currently have. With the throttle make sure you plug in the controller before hooking up the interconnect component.

This is one of the best flight sticks out there. It is a great F16 flight stick replica. It is mostly aluminum and very high quality. I purchased the version with the "shaker kit" for vibration feedback.It was shipped extremely securely and protected. I highly recommend this product if you are a serious flight sim (DCS), MS Flight Sim, or Star Citizen player.I hope Amazon will carry more of the Winwing HOTAS products (i.e. throttle, pedals, addon components) in its inventory.

A ghastly nightmare. I was excited to receive this. It looked so incredible with two sliders on it which I need. Then I took a long time without instructions to setup. Ok. Videos made by other users helped. Then I tried to get it to run. Windows did not recognize it. I had to go through the equivalent of Chinese water torture after this only to find I had to use another program to force it to make the base functions to work. Terrible waste of money. I now use Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS and CH Products Throttle Quadrant USB (300-133) side by side to give me all the throttle functions I need. Both work out of the box and have a separate flap control. Both are recognized by Windows side by side out of the box. If you don’t want to rewrite the book on waterboarding, I wouldn’t buy WINWING.

This was a gift for my son as he is an avid flyer. This has been the best addition to his repertoire thus far. He loves it.
