Switched our packaging to these-won't go back to the old methods!
We raise meat rabbits. After our first dispatch going HORRIBLY wrong (rabbits wouldn't bend to fit into the bags, too big to fit into the normal vacuum seal bags that I had, I became incredibly frustrated. Heard about these lil gems from a homesteading youtuber that I follow. Grabbed up a package and decided to try on our next round of dispatching. They are amazing! They fit nicely (just make sure you get the right sizes for the right animal), and with little to no effort. Fold in half, drop in, back/loin side down. I lined them up on the counter space (as seen in photo), while I waited for the pot to get to the right temp. We found our sweet spot around 190-195. This allows for a quick shrink, and sucks out plenty of air. ANything less than this, we found we had to keep the rabbit in the pot longer-risking cooking it-to get it to shrink. So, definitely keep an eye on your temps as you are packaging your product. Turn stove down or off if you reach too high of a temp, let it come down. I usually only have to do this once while doing 10+ rabbits. Using a large stock pot is best, to ensure the whole rabbit is submerged into the water during the process.TIP: When you're putting the straw into the bag, make sure that it's NOT touching any of the meat. This will cause the straw to be blocked and air will not release through it as it shrinks down. We put them in to the bags in this manner, and cup the front feet between the back legs, creating an air pocket for the straw to sit when shrinking.TIP: You NEED the pliers to pull the zip ties closed as you're taking the straw out. I tried without, and figured I could just use brute force and my hands were slippery from the water, and they were a bit harder to get it tight than I thought. The bag didn't close very well, causing seepage. Definitely use the pliers to close the zip ties for a TIGHT seal.I really love these, so much so that I bought several packages after our first purchase lol. We also bought a couple packages of the larger bags for our meat chickens. We usually divide them up and vacuum seal those, but we'd like to have a few full chickens to work with. SO, we'll be trying those this spring. They're very sturdy and thick. When shrinking these around our rabbits, sometimes we have the neck bones/vertebrae, or parts of the bone from the legs that will protrude. I have yet to have a package rip/tear/puncture and they've been pretty tightly shrank around those bones or sharp pieces. They've been moved around, banged around, in the big chest freezer, and no ripping or punctures thus far.Highly recommended. It's worth it to make sure you're buying from this USA made store. Don't get the cheap knock offs. Support our USA based companies!

Great product
Processed our first meat chickens and these are the first shrink bags we have ever used so take the review with that in mind. These bags are a made of a heavy plastic, they are big and shrunk down perfectly. If you are having a problem with them shrinking then it is either the water temp or the straw is clogged. Make sure you get extra so you mess up a few getting things right. I will update later on the long term storage. It has been about 2 weeks and everything looks good.Update over a year later the bags are excellent. Held up well. Not a single issue. The only bags we used and now I have bagged over 200 chickens!

So much easier than vacuum sealing!
This product worked perfect! We have previously vacuum sealed our chicken. This year they got a little bigger (10-11 pounds) than last year. We attempted to vacuum seal whole chickens unsuccessfully. That’s when I came across these bags. It was so much faster and more convenient to use these bags. The 8.5 pound whole chickens fit inside perfectly. I also love that they were made in the USA.

Don’t process poultry without these bags. Super excellent!
These cost more but are much nicer than the cheaper ones I returned before buying these. Well worth the money. Last time (my first experience processing poultry) I got their smaller size. My bad—the bottoms split a little on the larger broilers so I had to double bag. Oops! They do offer two sizes. These bags have no odor that I could detect, are substantial in thickness, include clear instructions, (Be sure to read them; don’t just wing it as I did. It worked out fine but would have been better if I’d read them *before* doing the job.), they include a straw to release expelled air, and provide sturdy zip-ties to seal them. I will buy these again and again.

Good bags
I bought these bags when we butchered show chickens. They dressed between 6-9 lbs, and these bags worked very well. They are thick, and they shrunk nicely in hot water (190°-200°). Negatives are as follows: zip ties will puncture other bags so be careful how you stack them, and bags seem to release the shrink just a bit after freezing. Overall, these bags are great AND MADE IN AMERICA!!!

Works Great!
Use these to package pasture raised poultry. They do a great job. Make sure the straw is not touching any part of the bird doing vacuum process or it can't remove the air.

You need these!
These bags are amazing! I have been raising meat chickens my whole life, and have never used anything as nice and good quality as these! Super easy to use, and they hold up and are super durable!! A must have if you home butcher. We tried the China ones that are really similar, don't even bother. Made in the USA are way sturdier!

Work great and stay solid and durable even after a year in the freezer
We used these the first time we butchered our meat chickens a year ago. Fairly simple to use, and they are a solid thick bag. Lasted all year in the freezer. Bought them again for this year's butchering.
