DEFECTIVE PRODUCT
Switch was defective. I did not learn it was defective until after I installed the box, switch & cover plate. Amazon said they could refund the entire amount. AFTER I send everything back. Even though I advised that I only needed the $2-3.00 switch. I did not wish to have to uninstall what I already had installed. I found another switch that I had in my tool box and switched it with the defective switch. It works fine now. I fully understand that the failure rate for switches is less than 1%. My switch was a 1%er.

Everything you need to install an exterior switch, in one package
I recently moved and I have a lot of home projects going on. I discovered the light in the attic has a broken pull chain. So I have been having to climb into the attic and screw the bulb in and out to turn the light off and on. I considered another pull chain light but it would only be a matter of time before I have the same issue again. I found this kit and it appeared to be everything I would need for this one job. How nice that I did not have to purchase a box, a cover, a light switch, all separately as that is what you would normally have to do. It even comes with the ground wire and screw for the box. This has it all in one kit. Installation was a breeze and the switch and box appear to me to be top quality equipment. I'm really glad I found this one and as you can see from the photos, now when I climb the ladder, I just reach in and turn the light on before entering the attic. It worked out great and problem solved permanently.

well made set
I was intending to use this for a different purpose, but it didn't work, not because of this but because I was going to put a different switch in the box that didn't fit. Oh, well... this is well made sturdy box and I will find a different use for it

Very good, basic hardware!
This is the kind of product my grandfather used to build with. Heavy duty metal outlet box, all metal and ready to go to work.The only thing this kit could add would be some cable clamps to keep romex wire from pulling out of the box. It's so close to complete, that it is close enough to perfect for me.The switch, cover plate and hardware is all there, my friends ... I really like it!Five stars!
