It is as described, but it is very small. Not even coffee table size.

OK - so, first things first -Quality-wise, this item is top shelf. I have a similar box that I keep in the back of my SUV for coats, gloves, tie downs, etc. I am convinced they are made by the same folks - identical styles and all. And I absolutely love it. This item shares the same quality attributes, it's just a little smaller, and has the tabletop extension.As for the usefulness of the item - the design is interesting, and its usefulness is going to be largely determined by what you want to use it for. Pay close attention to the dimensions - it is considerably smaller than the pictures make it appear. It is sized appropriately to be a camp table for folks who are either sitting on the ground, or in one of those low/compact folding chairs - not the bigger "tailgating" style folding chairs. I find that it is ideally sized to hold mess kits, and cleaning materials for two. I like that I can store the mess kits in it, dirty or clean, wet or dry, and use it as a table (at the same time). Very handy.I hope the manufacturer makes larger versions, as well!

Awesome camping/tailgating item that serves as a low table and storage bin. It is very compact when fully stored and is easy to assemble within 1-2 minutes. It is great for storing and carrying light items. The table function is excellent, too, as it is a really good size to easily hold drinks, food, or other items on a solid surface. As long as the ground is level, it holds items really well, especially when compared to the fabric pop-up table that I've been using. One caution is to avoid using it like a seat bench as it's not designed for that (except maybe a young child).
