Easy to Use & Very Helpful
If you're a hobby worm farmer, this sifter is a fantastic purchase! It's noisy & the springs were a challenge at first (just use a pair of pliers to avoid pinched fingers), but those are the only cons. I can add my soil to be sifted, turn it on, and go do something else while the machine does the sifting.

this 150 mesh screen is solid.
Ya this is super useful for me, I use it to filter potassium nitrate that I ball mill and 150 mesh is PERFECT for potassium/sugar l/parafin wax smoke devices. I'll throw 5 20mm chrome steel balls it it to help vibrate the powder through since I don't got one of those cool machines that I believe possibly vibrate or something the, normally flour I guess?, through. I left it out one night it was raining and not a spec of corrosion l, so, I believe it's food grade. Hehe. And the screen I can't detect any stretching bouncing 20mm steel balls around on it so, that's good. Seems sturdy enough.

Excellent well-made many different filters available
This is great to use after milling flour or other grains Many different varieties of screens are available so you can get either a course or fine filter anywhere you want. Comes with a pad for stabilization on slick services Even though it shakes the top portion quite a bit it does not walk across the counter. Extremely well-made uses very little electricity.

A lot larger than I was expecting
I ordered this with the intention of ordering the machine to go with it later on (which is now currently on the way) so I could manually sift my fresh ground flour. Mentally I was picturing this about the size of a colander but it was quite a bit larger than what I was expecting so I can only imagine how big the machine is. Thankfully I have a huge metal bowl so I didn’t make much of a mess trying to sift my flour but my hand size and height of the sifter was against me but I made it work for the time being. I think if you are a normal sized person with normal sized hands and you have the big bowl to sift manually it wouldn’t be an issue but if you’re small then expect some hand cramps from trying to hold it. I will leave another review once the machine arrives and it is being used the way it was intended

Didn't buy it for flour
I bought this to sift flour. It won't do it, the mesh is too fine. Not sure what to use it for now.

Rust after first usage
I want to like this product and the fine mesh is what I need, I just had it for a couple of weeks and despite being described as “food grade” and “stainless steel” it started developing rust after the first usage (see pictures). Disappointed

Works well, but if you are removing bran, look into Japanese rice cleaners instead.
It is a little cumbersome, and sieving by any means is always a little messy, but other than slightly difficult spring hold-downs, it works well. I use this with home milled flour, although I now use a Japanese rice cleaner for pre-milling bran removal instead of using the sieve post milling. The mill is still handy for sifting freshly milled flour for cakes and pastry. I wish these came with a variety of different mesh sieves, as I had to do a lot of searching around Amazon and on a popular auction site to get a range of sieves without paying a ridiculous price. Overall, a pretty good product, and for the scientifically curious, watching the wave mechanics as things are sieved can be pretty interesting. I hope this is helpful.
