Nicely made solid carbide bits, arrives well packaged, has no issues cutting a variety of materials
The two router bits arrived very nicely packaged in three layers of packaging, the outermost layer being a standard grey mailing pouch, the middle one was an ESD-safe grip-seal pouch and then each of the two bits were placed into separate rigid plastic bit holders. Each of them is secured in place tightly inside the containers and there is zero chance they’d be able to do any damage to each other in storage or shipping. They’re both very nicely made as you can see from my images, both are very sharp and have no issues going into 8mm collet for my hand held router and gave flawless cuts in testing with various scraps, even on the endgrain of veneered ply which is typically a nightmare that requires secondary cuts or refinishing. If you haven’t tried or experienced up and down cut compression bits then these are genuinely worth a go on that basis alone, it’s the secret sauce to getting crisp cuts on the bottom and top of a tear out prone stock while doing edge cuts and sufficiently deep pockets or trenches. Of course like any bit type there are a few quirks and gotchas when using them but if you use them appropriately these are fantastic for not only hand-routing but also for CNC based cutters. The current price of £22.99 is in the ballpark of what I'd expect to pay for a pair of generic solid carbide compression router bits of this size and quality and while it’s marked up a little versus importing them, it’s not much and feels reasonable. I’m not running my router day in and day out, so I can’t really comment on the longevity of these yet but if I run into any unexpected issues or premature wear or blunting I'll revisit and update this review.

Chews through timber
Used with a Bosch router, these bits drill down or across timber easily. They are very sharp, and I hope that they keep their edge. Shape is very well designed so they cause minimal tear out. Clearing of dust is very quick.
