I ordered the Spytec plug-in GPS car tracker for my mother's vehicle. She's 80 years old and planning a long-distance road trip this summer. She's traveling alone, and this worries me. She was a little reluctant at first when we told her we'd like to put this tracking device in her car. We explained that it wasn't to spy on her but to know that she was safe, and if she ran into any problems, it would be easier for us to find and help her.This tracker was simple to install by plugging it into the on-board diagnostics 11 (OBD-11) port located just beneath the steering column. It's easily spotted, so there's no way we could have slipped it in her vehicle without her knowing. Getting started was pretty simple. Just scan the QR code, download the app, plug in the GPS module, and you're ready to track.Once we downloaded the app on our phone and were plugged into her vehicle, the GPS tracker was immediately working. The real-time tracking is pretty accurate. When checking the app on my phone, a satellite image of the homes in my neighborhood appeared as well as a precise location, including an address. Now, my mother was parked out on the street in front of my house, but my neighbor's address (across the street) came up. We felt it was accurate enough not to be concerned. As the day went on, we secretly tracked her whereabouts to confirm how accurate this device really was. It was spot-on! We were able to see her trips to the grocery store, Dollar General, her friend's house, and the bingo hall.This tracker comes with a 3-month prepaid subscription to start. Beyond the 90-day period, I can choose whether or not I want to renew the monthly service. I like that Spytec groups the cost of the 3-month subscription with the purchase of this tracker because you get a real sense of what this handy little device is actually capable of. It's like a test run that will help me to decide whether or not this device is worth paying a monthly fee to continue using. We're just getting started, and I really like what I'm seeing so far!The Spytec tracker has 24/7/365 movement alerts, providing real-time notifications for movement, vibration, ignition on/off, tampering, and boundary alerts. I'll get notifications, SMS, and emails delivered to my home and work computer, phone, or smartwatch. I can see all current and past activity in real time on a map with Time Machine, including her route, speed, weather, nearby businesses, cross streets, and more. I won't share with her that speeding is also monitored, or I may get a notification that the tracker has been tampered with because she's unplugged it from the OBD-11 port. My mother doesn't like to be called out on her lead foot. (Lol) This tracker offers peace of mind that I'll be able to keep track of my mother throughout her 1,444-mile journey.I also like that Spytec offers unlimited users, meaning that this GPS tracker doesn't have to be used only in my mother's car, but it can be used in any vehicle.Overall, I really like the Spytec GPS tracker. It was easy to install, it's simple to use, and it offers lots of features that will help me keep track of my elderly mother during her long-distance trip. This GPS tracker is perfect for aging parents as well as new drivers so you can keep track of how responsible or irresponsible your loved ones are behind the wheel. Not to mention when your child tells you they're going to one place and end up in another, you'll know!

This works great, but it is somewhat large and sticks out more than I thought it would. it is for sure OBVIOUS that there is something in the port connection under my dash. It also says no fees... but there is a fee if you want the tracking to work. I do like that there isn't any charging needed since it draws its power from my car through the port connection. I do wish it was smaller so it wasn't so obvious but aside from that it works exactly as it says it will, with the exception of the subscription required for the tracking.

Not rally accurate location but it does locate my car. After one month use it. It’s good to have it and app and website it is all convenient share to someone in my family. I only give it four star because sometimes live track it is not update realtime.

This spy tracker works really well and accurate. It is very super easy to install. And the free 3 month trial is awesome. However, it is easy for some people to know what it is and can be easily disconnected.

App isn't user friendly AT ALL. Seems more designed for a large fleet of vehicles, rather than for individual users. You're better off just using an airtag or something similar.

Works great and is easy to set up. Easy to use and place in the vehicle without any hassle. Great product to have as a back up tracker.
