Briggs and Stratton 740194MA Throttle Cable, Black

The plastic on the old one was worn and broken. The wire was too long, so I used the old one. I could have cut the new one and made a bend at the end.

It was too short to fit my rototiller so did not use. Make sure you measure your old one and not just go off of brand and model

This was a direct replacement for the throttle on my aging Craftsman walk behind trimmer. It was easy to install and works perfectly.

This cable and handle is a piece of crap. It is up the cheapest, thinnest plastic I think they could find for something like this. It's unfortunate to figure out that this is actually manufactured by Briggs & Stratton. At least that's what it said on the bag. We snapped it on the first try, not only that but I never even got the engine started before it broke. The cable is too long for effective use which causes your throttle to stick open because there's no way to adjust it. Stay away from this garbage, Briggs and Stratton shame on you. You used to build good things.
