Can confirm: It's squirrel proof :)
As the title suggests, I'm pumped that this is the first squirrel-proof feeder I've had in the 11 years at my house. A squirrel first attempted to jump onto the feeder a day after I set it up (which I still have no idea how it managed to jump on this feeder - and from where!) and it truly struggled to stabilize itself (it never did) and had to jump off before I could attempt to get under the lid and secure itself to chow down. I have not seen a squirrel ever since and I am now on week three. I also appreciate that given it's a metal material, there's no plastic scraps falling off and getting mixed up in to the food (thoughts I never used to ponder years ago when I was younger but care about today). It's further very easy to clean compared to feeders I've had that are plastic and with grooves intended to appear like wood grains or other styles - it was always a pain to scrub. All in all a great feeder.PS: I can't believe I'm leaving a review for a bird feeder on Amazon. This whole birding thing has been the most hilarious right-of-passage in my 40s of all time but I am sure y'all in my bracket can relate LOL! :)

Solid, well built little feeder
They work great. They are pretty small, so check the measurements before you buy. I've read where some came apart on people. Double check where any nut connections are and make sure they're tight. One of my two was a little loose. These nut connections make it easy to take apart and clean, that's why they're there. I guess some just weren't tightened all the way when they were built. It's no problem, a little common sense goes a long way. They've already got drain holes in the tray, too, so no modifications have been necessary on these feeders. The cover has a spring loaded catch on it that holds the lid up when filling. Didn't think that was a big deal at first, but I really like that feature now that I've used it. Wish they made a larger size with the same material and features though. Nice little feeder.

Very good with caveats
It works fine and I like how it looks. The adj height is a nice feature. All metal with plastic seed viewer. The only negatives are:1) the tiny button that releases the top metal cover to add feed is hard to push; I don’t think your average elderly lady will be able to push it;2) the wraparound perch is too close for larger birds: mourning dove, grackle no can do; blue jay and rose-breasted grosbeak can handle it by perching sideways. It’s a small feeder;3) the cut tips of the steel strands of the twisted cable are sharp as a razor.

Quality feeders
This pair of feeders is replacing two that neither deterred the squirrels nor were easy to fill. These feeders are sturdy, well-made and handle the frequent winds in my locale. The tops lift easily for re-filling and the hooks accompanying the feeders are helpful for easy positioning in tree branches. The continuous circular perch and feeding dish permits multiple birds to access seed at the same time. The clear seed cylinder allows me to readily see when a refill is needed. Great feeders at a reasonable price; very satisfied with my selection; I bought the green ones.

One of the nicest
Very well made and good looking, strong and neat construction. Size and capacity is just what we were looking for. Tube is crystal clear., tray is wide to cut down on overflow and length of the steel cable is easily adjustable. Button to hold cover up while filling is very handyAs to canopy protection it's adequate, rain hardly ever comes straight down. It comes more sideways generally so a larger top cover wouldn't make much difference. If you can't tend to it regularly then you may want one that has larger capacity. On our deck it's no problem to always monitor. This one we highly recommend. We're pleased with the top quality and pricing and highly recommend.

Popular with many types of birds
All types of birds seem to like the open platform design. Among many, I have finches , Cardinals, Chick-a-dees, and mourning doves like to clean up the seeds that fall underneath. It is easy to fill and clean.

I would recommend this feeder for sure
Bird feeder is easy to fill when you have a screwdriver on hand to adjust the lenght of the wire it is hanging on. My squirrel still serves herself which is fine to me; she's a mama, it does protect from all the other squirrel. Vale for the money is good and it'll be easy to clean once its time to do so.

Works Well with Small Seed
The Feeder construction is beautiful and the setup is easy.My problem is I primarily feed Black Oil Sunflower seeds for Cardinals - They are too large to fit through the small triangular feeder holes. My previous feeders had oval holes and worked fine. The New Feeders were both still full after two days and I knew that something was wrong.I had to forcibly elongate the holes. which was not easy with the spot-welds.Does work now and the birds are chowing-down!
