An AMAZING EDC knife, and an unbelievable bargain. Worth at least twice what I paid for it.
Where to begin? I absolutely LOVE this knife. This knife is, hands down, the best value folding knife I've ever bought. This knife would be worth buying even at $60-70, to get it for $30 makes me feel like a thief. The quality of this knife is incredible. First of all, the blade is made of 14C28N steel, which is unbelievably good steel for the price. It holds and edge beautifully (not as well as S30V or S35VN or a super steel, but I think it compares favorably to VG10), and is easy to sharpen (I mostly just give it a light touch up, it rarely needs more). The full flat grind makes this a wonderful slicer. The blade shape is simple yet elegant. The blade didn't come QUITE razor sharp, but it was pretty close, and even afdter pretty extensive use it maintains a really good working edge for a long time. The handle is solid stainless, and the brushed satin finish of both the handle and the blade looks really nice. The frame lock is super strong, and with no wobble in any direction, but it's easy to close when you want to. The action is smooth as butter, running on high-quality bearings. The knife opens quickly and easily, and even though there's no jimping on the flipper, it's shaped in such a way that my finger has never slipped off when opening the blade. Closing is just as smooth. The fit and finish is absolutely superb, there isn't a single rough or uncomfortable surface, no hot spots. And there is absolutely NO blade drift or blade play (loose wobbling). Then there's the pocket clip. This is one of the best clips I've ever seen on a knife. You don't have any choice, it's tip up right-handed only, but the blade never comes open if you don't want it to so tip up is no problem, and of course most people are right handed. Anyway, the clip allows you to put this knife in the corner of your pocket, and if you're wearing dark pants people will likely never know you have a knife in your pocket. Even if they notice the clip, there's nothing that makes it obvious that the clip holds a knife. It's that well concealed. This is really nice if you work around a bunch of hoplophobic wimps who freak out at the mere sight of a "scary" knife. There's also a really nice, full-size lanyard hole which will accommodate paracord, if that is something you care about. This is a nice feature when you're out in the woods, but I never use a lanyard otherwise. The ergonomics of this knife are truly outstanding. It doesn't look like it, and one wouldn't expect it from a solid steel handle, but the shape and thickness makes it fit beautifully in my hand, and I have big hands. I've never come close to losing my grip. There is jimping both on the lock and the base of the spine, which together with the shape of the handle lead to a really good grip, at least when bare-handed. I've never tried using this knife with gloves yet. It's possible to choke up on the blade with the thumb for extra fine control over precise tasks. The overall shape of the knife also makes it excellent for thrusting. You can look at the pictures to see just how straight and beautiful the lines are. There are no wierd angles involved. Also, the cutout for the lock combines with the flipper lever to form a really good finger guard, so you're highly unlikely to have a slip when thrusting. And while the blade is not a clip point, the point is still so sharp that I've never had trouble thrusting it into anything. Finally, I just love the look of this knife. Truly, every single aspect of this knife is aesthetically pleasing.I often find myself playing with it just for the experience of looking at it and feeling the smooth action. Like I said, this knife would be a bargain at twice the price. What I'd REALLY like to see now is an identical knife with an S35VN steel blade, for maybe another $30-40. I would snap that up in a heartbeat.I DO have one word of warning. Some of the other reviewers have complained of the action coming loose, and the blade lists to one side when side and wobbles when open. I actually experienced this problem when I first got the knife. When I took it out of the box, I found the action a bit stiff so I loosened the action bolts VERY slightly. This made the action super smooth and fast but also lead to some wobble. I was worried that I had ruined the knife and would either have to return the knife or carry around a #8 Torx bit for periodic tightening. But then I finally hit on the perfect balance for tightness and smoothness. I tightened the bolt on the lock site as much as I could, then loosened the bolt on the other side VERY slightly from maximum tightness. Now I fail to fully lock the blade with a single flip on the lever maybe one time in 20, but I've worked the action hundreds of times now, often violently, and it hasn't loosened one bit.I'm so impressed with this knife, I plan to order another soon as a backup, just in case I loose the first one or break it doing something incredibly stupid. Also, my experience with this knife lead me to purchase a second Ruike knife, the RUIKE RKEP121G Hussar P121 with G10 handles. This knife is slightly longer and certainly wider (it actually has a slightly better grip than the P801), yet is no heavier. It's about $8 more than the P801. These two Ruikes are now two of the 4 knives I use for EDC (one is a 3-inch Kizer for when I need to go small and light, the other is a really nice older Benchmade). This is the one I carry most often.

Best $30 I've ever spent!
The media could not be loaded. This is a great knife. I've bought 4 so far, and I wouldn't be surprised if I purchased more. I've owned $100+ knives that don't function as well, I'm having trouble understanding how Ruike has managed to produce something of this quality for such an affordable price. Here are the reasons I love this blade, and why I'm not afraid to use the heck out of it everyday.1. Great blade steel for the $. It isn't razor sharp out of the box, but it's pretty good. Took me a half hour to polish it to a mirror, and now it push cuts through phone book paper.2. It functions so smooth. Rides on bearings, has a solid detent, and it drops closed with ease.3. It has a deep carry clip4. No blade play forward, backward, or side to side5. The only bad review I saw was discoloration of the anodizing, mine came a bit off, it is so insignificant it really doesn't bother me.6. The blade is perfectly centered when closed!7. There is a stabilizing pin, I wasn't expecting this due to a disassembly I watched on YouTube, they must've fixed that problem.Couple bad things, results may vary1. The factory grind angle was a tiny bit off near the tip. I was able to fix it with my sharpening system, but many people may not have access to that or know how to use one. That being said, my $200 ZT had a weird factory grind too. A knife is rarely ever perfect out of the box.2. The thumb stubs kind of sucks. I would be completely happy if they weren't even there. The detent is so strong that I can't get a good enough purchase on them to deploy the blade. I like unassisted flippers, and if you use the flipper tab the strong detent makes this blade flick out quite nicely.3. The frame lock engages at about 40%, which is perfect, but if you grip the knife firmly and apply pressure it shifts in to about 50%. I never expected perfect tolerances with a sub $30 knife, but this kind of bugs me. Hopefully it breaks in, or will stop it once I polish it up a bit.Overall, spend the $30, and give this blade a home in your pocket. Baby it, beat the shit out of it, lose it, and buy another one, it's only $30 and functions like a dream. Hell, do what I did and buy 4 for your friends and family, you will most certainly not regret it.

Great knife for it's price.
Knife is very sharp out of the box. Feels well made. Awesome acoustic snap when opening. Did require a bit of pivot lube to ease up the detent. The two complaints I have are that there thumb stud is pretty tricky to operate. This is partially due to the placement of the thumb stud and the strength of the frame lock detent. I highly suggest using your thumb nail instead of the meat of your thumb. It's very easy to slip off and cut yourself if you don't know exactly how to thumb flick it. Also the forward edge of the back flipper is a little uncomfortable. I hope they make it just a little larger and round the front of it more in the future. I've smoothed out the edges of mine and I love it. Super slim and feels top notch. All in all I would buy another.

Top Knotch!
Amazing Quality and Precision at a $30.00 price point, this is basically a poor man’s Sabenza (Chris Reeves) if was American Made it would probably cost 10 times more! Glad I got one.
