Development interview processes continue to get longer and more abusive as companies realize they can waste more and more of our time and effort to offload as much of their own risk as possible... after starting to go through this book, I took a step back, thought about what I was doing, and got rid of it. I've dropped out of a couple interview processes now over this kind of excessive prep requirement, and it's been a great stress reducer.Not everyone has the option of saying no like this, but if you do, try to exercise it and send a message -- since you're likely to be a candidate for a senior position -- rather than continuing to enable the kind of grotesque expectations that result in books like this being written.
