It has space for 2 kids (with 2 seat belts) but the seat is just one bench- that’s why it says single seat. Wording is tricky.

Q: Does it ride well in grass?

It doesn’t do well in grass at all. Runs about half the speed in grass that it does on pavement. I adapted our to a 20 volt drill battery and now it runs great in the grass! Easy to adapt it.
