Q: Are the syringes sterile?

The packaging states - sterile unless opened or damaged. Each syringe is individually wrapped and sterile however keep in mind that the syringe doesn't have a cap on the end so once you open it you have to use it immediately.

Q: is there a rubber stopper or all plastic?

There's a picture on the box. It has a rubber stopper.

Q: These can be used with a standard disposable needle, right? I assume the top fits?

does the plastic cap have to come off the top to put the needle on? I assume the black pointy thing goes in the needle base, but I can't get the plastic top off
