Q: How tall is this unit from top to bottom?

The unit is as tall as you want it to be. You just snap on each metal file to another metal file. You can make it 10 files long or 3 files long, whatever your preference is.

Q: How deep are the pockets? If you put a clipboard vertically in it, would more than half stick out the top of the pocket?

The pockets are 7.25'' deep, and less than half of the clipboard sticks out.

Q: Can more folders be added to the existing 10? I need two rows of 12.

Yes you can. The folders attach to each other and are supported buy one piece of frame at the very top folder, and hang from there.

Q: Can you get extra hanging brackets? It came with two, but I need one more.

I bought a set of 10 high that hang as one continuous unit as shown on the photo. I don't think you could hang more that 10 in a single unit. I think they came as 2 sets of 5, but not connected, and I hooked each each basket together as the instruction show, with just two screws at the top as anchorage.
