Record video from the set-top box with components video from Xbox360 using HDMI, or from PS3 using component video to your PC in high-resolution H.264 blu-ray format HD PVR 2 comes with HDMI and component cables that use a built-in H.264 encoder to record in real time at video resolutions up to 1080i. Support Windows XP using Service Pack 3, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and 8. Note: Some cables and satellite boxes do not allow recording from the HDMI port of the box. If you have any of these boxes, you will need to use the Component Video connector on the back of the box. Component video connectors are typically red/green/blue connectors and may be marked "YPrPb". Please check with your cable TV or satellite TV provider to see if the component video connector in the box is present. Colossus 2 can record HD video from either HDMI or component video using the included A/V adapter cable. Both WinTV and Hauppauge capture applications can be configured to record from HDMI or component video source.
