PdP Silicone Case/Cover for Nintendo 2DS (Black)

This is such a nice quality case and likely the best you can get for your 2DS. It feels like very nice material. In my opinion it vastly improves the comfort factor of the 2DS by a wide margin. The texture of the case, the small amount of weight it adds to the system, and how it smooths out the edges of the 2DS all make for this being incredibly comfortable and perfect for my big hands.There are a few things to note. The case appears to be a tiny bit loose near where the camera is. It's not too bad looking though. In terms of playability, I thought that the case might create a sunken like feeling to the face buttons and make them difficult to push, but it turns out it feels just fine and that isn't a problem... for the A B X Y Start and Select buttons, at least. The power button takes a bit of effort to hit as it is quite far down after applying the case. The worst offender however is the D-pad... it is extremely low inside the case and very cumbersome to use. Maybe my 2DS has a sunken D-pad, I don't know, but perhaps other people may experience this too with this case. I have only recently bought my 2DS and it was brand new. However, everything other button is fine and accessing every part of the 2DS is very easy.I have been on a quest to find the most comfortable model of the 3DS line. As someone with big hands, I have found the 2DS with this PDP case as the 2nd most comfortable to hold. I would rank the 2DS XL as the most comfortable, personally, and the New 3DS XL as the third most comfortable. I would put the 2DS without this case below the New 3DS in terms of comfort however, so this case really does make a huge difference. I had decided to go with this black color as I felt it would go best with my all blue 2DS, and it really does make the console a lot more appealing. Perhaps this black case would look even better with the all red 2DS, or even the white one.Overall, I highly recommend this case. It feels good, looks good, and improves the comfort of the system by an impressive degree. If you don't mind the discomfort of the d-pad, or perhaps have a solution for that issue, then this case is pretty much flawless. Most 3DS games mostly use the circle pad anyway, so it's not the biggest loss. And of course, it could just be my 2DS that has this problem. Check it out if you are curious!UPDATE:After trying the same case on the new Mario Maker 2DS, I strongly believe the d-pad issue mentioned before is more likely the fault of my specific 2DS system instead. The d-pad of the my Mario Maker 2DS immediately felt like it had more bulk to it when I had first felt it, and it definitely feels easier to use even with the case on. It also looks quite sleek with the black one, so I added in a picture for you to see. This rectifies the one real issue I had with the case and I've got to say that I'm quite happy.

Really love the texture of this sleeve. I can't speak for protection, but for a little extra grip, it's fantastic. I'm restoring my old 2DS and wanted something to hide the scratches on the case, as well as give it more comfort. It definitely delivers. Based on reviews, I was expecting it to fit really loosely or the camera piece to be so loose that I would have to tape it down, but it's really not noticeable unless I'm looking for it. I would say that anybody who uses a D-pad quite frequently might be upset by the lack of recess around the keys, but I hardly use them, and when I do, I don't find it much of a struggle. I can imagine somebody who uses them often or competitively would have an issue with this. Anyway, I think it's brilliant and am glad I didn't have the issues I was worried I would.

This case is AMAZING!!! I pit it on my red 2ds and it looks sick. But, the packaging was terrible. When I got it in the mail, the package was all dented and busted. But overall, a great product!

I would echo other reviewers' advice about steering clear of cheaper brands. This brand case fits well overall and has a handsome Nintendo logo on the back. A much improved comfort over holding the console itself. I feel much better setting it down on surfaces that may have dust/dirt/sand/texture knowing this sleeve will prevent scratching.My one complaint is that although it is an almost perfect fit, it does not quite lay flat against the console at the area around the front facing camera. It's hardly noticeable, and looks way better than the loose fitting sleeves made by other brands. You can see this gap around the camera in some of the reviewers' pictures, but it's very minor. If you're terribly irritated by the very small gap, like I am often irritated by minor flaws, you can consider slipping in a very small piece of double sided tape.I like it enough I'm considering ordering a second one. So I highly recommend.

I ended up returning mine because I didn't care for the loose fit. It's also thick enough to affect the feel/height of the buttons and d-pad. As far as protection, I can see how this would prevent scratches to the housing. Not sure how it would protect from a drop. It does provide a nice grip and cushioning for playing and setting on a slick surface. I ended up going with the clear hard plastic case and put some round rubber feet on the corners for slip prevention.

This cover works fantastically. I purchased from watching YouTube reviews by Raymond Strazdas and I have not been disappointed. Cover went on to 2ds great with no unnecessary room around game system. Would buy again.

Complete junk. My son tore it right away. Very thin and offers no protection. Not even worth $1
