When Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s my sister and I adopted the same supplement regimen prescribed for her on the advice of her neurologist. He specifically named this Swanson supplement. I order through Amazon since I am a Prime member. I can’t tell you that I run faster or my memory is stronger. I can tell you that it has not hurt me. The peace of mind I get from being proactive about something I have no real control over has been worth the cost. And if it has been helping in any way to delay or stop onset of this horrific disease, well then my prayers were answered.

I have been using this product for about 3 years. I didn’t know Amazon sold it until I ran out and was looking and saw they sold Swanson and saw I could easily have it in 2 days instead of about 2 1/2 weeks. R Fraction is a great product if you have neuropathy. It really helps to keep away the burning pain. When I first did research and read up on it, I wasn’t quite sure. I am a believer now. It works great and I don’t want to ever be without it again.

I use Swanson R lipoic acid for 1 month And within one week, the nerve pain in my hip and in both my knees was relieved to the point I almost forgot I had nerve pain. I ran out of the Swanson bottle and went to my local health food store and bought their brand of alpha lipoic acid. I'm going to return it and buy Swanson again because the knee and hip pain have returned.***I have been reading up on Swanson R-Factor Lipoic on reputable medical sites. They all state that this product should be taken 1 TO 2 HOURS PRIOR TO MEALS. Confused, because the bottle states should be taken with meals. I called customer service number on the bottle and got an agent who had to look up the information just to come back and tell me that it should not be taken with meals. I asked why the bottle states differently and he said I guess you could take it with meals if you want. 😲 So which is it?! He said he would try to get me in touch with a specialist, but there was no one available. He put me through to leave a voicemail, but it looped me back around to the main switchboard as if I just called in. At that point I hung up because I can't be bothered with this. Horrible, horrible customer service!! I always considered Swanson to be a high regarded and trusting company, but their customer service and their label instructions say differently.

I take this every day along with my normal diabetes medicine. I heard from my brother, a very fragile type 1 diabetic, that this really helped his blood sugar to stay more consistent. It makes a big difference for me as well.

Provides an excellent source for ALA which is needed in our climate. Will continue to use the product.

this supplement that the dr told me to take was terrible ..... had the worst headache for days ..... and kept getting worse until i quit taking this supplement .... the next day my headache was gone
