It turned out to be an South African mobile locked to vodicon a African Network. Thus I sent back and got a refund.

Faulty. DON'T BUY
I am partial to Sony phone. I replaced my 6yr old XA1 during lock down with this model. It lasted 9months then the screen went blank! I was offered a repair/replacement but declined both.It's never good to hand over a used phone as you can't really delete the info. As for option 2, I will never buy another phone manufactured during covid. (too many corners cut).My solution is to buy a NEW older model. (pre March 2020). Purchase a couple if you can, as the new phones are minding ever more of our business.
