Simpex 1200 Tripod

I bought this specifically for the DSLR support. It works really well. The joints and the expansion are smooth as it should be. The material and the tripod-legs looks and feels strong. It should easily handle a DSLR and a telephoto lens. I do put pressure on tripod while taking shots , and this tripod holds up well. For this price range this is a good buy. An added bonus was the mobile holder. That is a real good surprise, which is definite must-have as nowadays mobiles are replacing DSLR for casual photography.

I am a solo traveller, so taking pictures of me being in the frame is a tough task. So I bought this tripod to use it for mobile photography & got epic pictures. This one supports camera too but I used my Huawei P20 Pro mobile phone & shot some great pics. This is light weight hence easy to carry, comes in a smart zipper pouch bag, that is washable. Build quality is great & what I liked best was the hook to attach weight to make it extra sturdy, which was important for me as I took it to a desert which is both windy & the ground is sandy, so I needed extra stability at times & this tripod is really good for that.

BUILD QUALITYThis tripod is made of aluminuim type of material. It is quite strong and durable. It is very light and can be carried anywhere with ease with the included carry bag/carry case. The tripod legs are quite stable and can be adjusted to any height you want(MAX HEIGHT 6FT). The tripod fluid head ( 3 way pan) and the locks are all made of plastic.The plastic is of pretty good quality I would say.FLUID HEAD MOUNTThe fluid head mount is is not very good I would say. It gives you decent pan and tilts,but they come with a lot of effort and patience as the fluid head is not so fluid and shutters sometimes. It also comes with a handle which has a rubber sort of material for grip and the camera mount is pretty decent and can hold most of the cameras, phones(with additional attachment), point and shoot cameras also.FINAL VERDICTIt is a pretty decent camera for a beginner video maker(I use it for my youtube videos though:) ), but if you are a professional go for a better tripod as this dosen't give you those smooth pan and tilts that you would get from a good quality tripod

I recently bought this tripod. I was worried if should I go for this underdog brand. As this is the only cheapest of all the similar features tripods from the other big brands. Surprisingly it's meeting all my needs and I am satisfied with the result. Only drawback is when you try table top photography with extending the tripod and tilting it to 90°, though it is a very good feature at such a price point, adding a few weights or a sand bag would do the job. It's a fair deal. The build is solid and it's very light and compact.

I had used a similar tripod few years back..that was very sturdy. This tripod has a lot of cost cutting, metal pieces are replaced with plastic. Have to use it very carefully otherwise there is chance of breakage. THE TABLE TOP FEATURE DOESN'T WORK AS EXPECTED.

Good For Youtubers, Brought this today, it has better build, heavy design and smooth pans and tilts ( not as smooth as tripods worthing 2-3k).Earlier i brought Photron Stedy 450 but that was nothing more than garbage, just returned it and brought this for 1.5k. I was too confused that whether to buy it or not,but i tried and was satisfied.Also attached carry bag is made of good quality material and the foot of tripod has self adjusting balls according to the surface on which its kept! It's max hieght is very good,,,i mean its more than enough. Quick Release plate is pretty easy to open. Good adjustments and steady

For this price range, I expected a lightweight, Ok built tripod. But, it's built is actually better than that! Feels solid while using, isn't too heavy or light. The fluid head is working as smooth as it should and the gear extender is also nice. I'm trying, but really can't think of something that disappointed me. 🤷🏽
