No setting up required, use 'straight out of the box', use the correct cable supplied to connect the receiver to the camera and you're away. Remote has a very good range on it, I got connection from 60ft away. Half press the shutter button on the remote to focus the camera, and press all the way to fore the shutter. Very responsive, no apparent lag. Can be used take a single shot, or set the camera to burst and it works just fine. Very happy with my purchase, I think value for money for what you get in the box, would thoroughly recommend

I got this kit a few days ago & it works great with my 5D mk2, canon 580EX II, canon 420EZ and Magnum MG-68TL flashes; I haven't had much luck with the ETTL, but this isn't too much of a problem as manually setting the flashes is pretty straight forward. The secondary function as a camera trigger is very handy if you haven't got one, I have also been able to use this function with my light meter for taking readings using one of the cables that came with the kit (see picture for the setup). I got two more receivers for my other flashes this morning, they are easy to set up and work well together. There are no batteries included and each receiver & transmitter needs 2 AAA's.

Another brilliant Neewer product. As good as any other "recognised camera brand" at a fraction of the cost.Works flawlessly with my camera as both a flash trigger allowing my flash to be placed anywhere to give me lighting solutions. I actually used it on a deferent room to the camera and it worked perfectly. Also as a remote shutter control, allowing you to focus and fire your camera whilst not being behind it.

Bit primitive and feels very much like the price you pay for it - cheap - but performs perfectly and does a fantastic job.

Didnt work, went through instructions time and time again on my Canon 5d mK iii to no avail, it did fire the flash though but did not operate the shutter at all. In the package was an email from CEO Jun Wang, asking me for contact if I rated the product less than 5/5, I did email and got a reply back in Chinese so enough said, cheap and nasty product. Avoid.

Amazing, fantastic range on the remote control fits hot shoe perfectly and amazing stand for the flash have used for property photography many times cannot recommend neewer enough for a photographer amazing company and brilliant products

Arrived today and setup didn't take long, followed instructions and needed to make a small adjustment in my flash then all sorted. Not used other than tested at home yet but so far I'm pleased it works with my Canon M50. So mirrorless gang this one is a goer!
