Works great!
This pump works great in our van camper. It fits on our 7 gal jug we got from Wally world and keeps us from having to flip the jug over from it's vertical traveling position. The only weak point is the blue nub that the white dispenser spout goes on to. We left the dispenser spout on the pump while traveling, the jug fell over and snapped the nub off. Will be buying again though!

It usually works, but ends up being pretty fragile
It really depends on the one you have. Some of them work, pumping water right away. Others, you have to pump many, many times before water starts to come out - but water always gets there. I know the differences in the individual pumps, because we've had probably 20 of them in the last 4 years. The bit at the top that the hooked pipe attaches to ends up breaking off if you look at it wrong. Make sure that you keep it far away from anything that could fall on it, or brush against it, as it'll break the blue part off and then you can't use it at all. Sadly, there are no other options for the Aquatainers, or we would try a different, potentially more beefy brand. It's very frustrating to always have an extra stashed just in case.

Lousy performance but great in theory
If this thing really worked it would be great. The reality is that it's made of weak components and leaks like crazy when used. A simple spigot will save you water and frustration.

Don't be fooled by the name: It's just a pump for Reliance products
BE CAREFUL - ONLY FITS CERTAIN "RELIANCE" BRAND WATER CONTAINERSThis pump has to be handled with care, there is nothing heavy duty about it, bear down on it and you'll break off a part rendering it useless. So, with gentle strokes, (I can already hear the teenagers laughing), the pump works well.Has to be primed first, meaning first few strokes produce nothing, then all of a sudden water is forcefully ejaculated (yuk-yuk) and presto, you've got a faucet. Is made in Canada for Canadian products, (Reliance is a Canadian brand).

Leaks, breaks easy, but it's the only option
Mine broke and had to order a new one. I recommend having at least 2 on hand because of how easily it breaks. It also leaks from multiple locations. But just keep a rag on your water container and it's not a huge deal. Definitely not great but I'll continue using it because it's the only option

Not for me
I see many people using it just as advertised, it is not what I need, it's in storage for now!

Fragile plastic
Worked as described for a couple weeks but extremely fragile. Broke the spout off the body of it throwing a pillow in the back of truck breaking camp during a rainstorm. It’s toast and no way to repair. Broken plastic. I thought it wise to buy directly from the manufacturer of the water jugs, but that was not satisfactory.

Another unreliable product from "Reliance"
Why can't this company just make a product that doesn't break so easily? First time I used it, the little plastic bit broke when I tried to put it together. what a pain in the butt! Now I have to go through the hassle of returning it. I wish I'd known that reliance products were so poorly made before I bought jugs that leak, and pumps and nozzles that break when you so much as look at them.
