EHEIM Classic 600 Aquarium External Canister Filter

The best money can buy. The quality of the product is really good! From the pipes to the canister you can see German all over. The entire product is minimal and built to serve the purpose. You will not find a single additional clip or plastic. I was able to figure out the installation, but you might want to look up the process on youtube. I really like the product for the low 20W power consumption and the availability of every single spare online.Eheim is what it is. You can expect crystal clear water within 24 hours of operation. You can see results that you can never expect any other filter. Don't be discouraged by the price because you are getting the complete filter media unlike other filters. This alone can cost you upwards of 2000INR. Operation is silent and you can hardly hear anything.Note: The seller was not the best. I got my filter poorly packed and there was a small damage on the filter itself. This didn't hinder the operation of the filter so I didn't want to return the product. Moreover I was also desperate as my old filter had been dead for over a week.

Its just mind-blowing Eheim quality. From the parts to the pipes to the overall mechanism...it will impress you. Its the most used canisters around the word. However you may find it td difficult to fit in...so please search on you tube for "bigal 2217 " theres a video by big al which clearly describes the fitting process. Mine is up and running now. You can just close your eyes and go for it. Definitely better than sunsun or fulval in my view.

First product i received was broken one, most of the clips and hose base was broken. It was replaced without any problem, second was good. Filter is running a year smoothly, no issues. I usually clean the filter once in 6 months, it will be most dirty, but okay.. Cleaning will take 20mins. Now my 4 x 1.75 x 1.5 feet tank is crystal clear.Thanks..

Eheim is the undisputed champion of aquarium products and this is an original and amazing piece of equipment which does not disappoint in any way. If you can afford it, buy it.On a side note, original accessories for this are quite expensive, but for once its worth what you're paying for.

Review after 1 year of usage: Product has been running fine until the impeller developed a rattling noise last week. When I looked at the impeller cost online, it is about 1500. Also, not sure if it is the impeller shaft/bush issue or the whole impeller. Just the impeller shaft and bush cost around 600 though. A product of this price should have more durable components inside. Also, cleaning both inlet and outlet pipe is a pain, as you need to clean them about every quarter for better efficiency.

I bought the Canister on July 2019 is from amazon sold by AquaNature and all i have to say is everything is wonderful so far.Been using it since then.Thank you Eheim for the awesome german product. Amazon andAquaNature who sells this !
