I received a message from the company asking me to write a review. So here it is. The pen feels cheap. A canny person will spot something's up. Doesn't matter, though, because it needs plastic caps to work and doesn't come with any. Since it doesn't say it in the description (at least at the time of writing this review) you can't even order them when you order the pen. Pulled the cap to show the person I was going to prank and the hammer part of the mechanism fell off. After that, we laughed and threw it in the trash. So I guess it worked in a backward, ironic, depressing sort of way.

This is one of the best pranks out there because the pop is so loud will scare the hell out of anyone lol. Just make sure to buy the caps separate since it doesn't come with them. I've gotten a bunch of people with this prank and it's b y far one of my favorites.

I was excited to prank my teachers in college for April Fools Day but It was the most disappointed toy scam ever >:( The sound is weak and lame. This was easy to break so I threw the prank in the trash and it that was is a waste of money

Caps are too big for the nipple but if u tape them down it works fine

I bought this for my college teacher for April fools day, and boy did it work! It looks just like an ordinary pen, and is extremely easy to use and load! It is very loud and frightening when it sparks, and is defiantely a good laugh! The shipping was fast, the price was right, and it also came with several caps for it. Why oh why did I not read the reviews! My son wanted an exploding pen so I got him one. Well he opened it with his other cool birthday gifts and then was totally let down by the fact that it doesn’t have caps!! Silly me, I assumed it would work as shown on the packaging. Gah!!!! Garbage it is.
