Q: Container shows 6.25 oz. but description reads 8 oz.. So which is it?

The sprinkles appear to be crushed candy cane - my container lost it's label somehow so I can't check out the ingredients, but it does taste like crushed up candy cane. Hope this helps.

Q: Will these melt if baked onto cookies?

I really don't know. I b ought them UEARS ago, just to sprinkle on ice cream. I guess if your oven is HOT enough---TJHEY SURE WILL mELT111
