Not knowing the size of your child, it’s difficult to answer. I purchased a 5-6 boys for a three year old that’s tall for his age and outgrows things quickly. I think better to size up that they can grow into if the shirt is too big at first.

These are shirts for little boys—very narrow torso with extremely long sleeves. Didn’t work for my 6 yr old grandson in size 7 (normal size for Carters).
