LG MCU61861001 Genuine OEM Detergent Dispenser for LG Dishwashers

Our soap lid suddenly stopped locking shut. I'm estimating we probably have close to 2,000 cycles on it so far. 7 years old.It's a perfect match for our LG. I couldn't tell the difference between the new and the old. Perfect fit. Not one single issue with the install. Hopefully this buys a few more years before we lose a main motor. I'll be happy if we can get 10 years out of it. It's a daily tool for us, especially during COVID, we run it 10 times in a week.

Perfect replacement for my LG LDF7774ST Dishwasher.Easy installation even for someone with no experience. Just have to have the right tools. I needed a screwdriver and a ratchet + 7mm socket.There is a youtube tutorial. But the tutorial fails to mention some models have 2 hex screws on the bottom of the door. So you have to take those off first, then the rest of the screws that hold the door frame on the washer. The entire tutorial took maybe 30 minutes, and thats bc I couldnt get one of the hex screws off easily.

For almost 2 years we argued with LG that our dishwasher wasn't cleaning the dishes properly. Lot's of times the soap dispenser wouldn't open during the cleaning process, and the rinse agent wouldn't dispense either. LG's customer (non)-service blamed it on all kind of operator related issues! Then, when they finally agreed to send out a technician, they told us that unfortunately our warranty had expired!!!!!I found this replacement part, installed it myself and our dishwasher works just perfect. The installation is very easy by just following the enclosed instructions. Took about 20 minutes the most!

This was a perfect fit for our dishwasher! No more having to set a timer to open the soap door! Works like a charm!!

The existing dispenser lost its seal ring for the dispenser, leaking liquid soap or letting a tablet get soaked and then stick to the dispenser and be wasted. I was looking at a several hundred dollar repair bill when I watched a video showing how to replace a similar unit. It took about 30 minutes, a Phillips screwdriver (powered), and an angled Phillips for the two screws on the bottom of the door (not shown in the video). It really is just removing screws and then replacing them, with a little jiggling to get the door cover back on. If you unplug or throw the breaker for the machine, this is a simple repair job.

Product was as described, and came pretty quickly. I installed it and it is working just as it should. If you have a LG dishwasher that has a broken detergent dispenser, this is a great factory part. I would recommend it.

My dishwasher was having issue for few months where the soap pod won't come out. It was seldom earlier so I thought may be it had something to do with we setting the dishes wrong. Later it just won't dispense or would dispense partially. After some research, I decided to replace this part before I called quits on my 5 yr old LG dishwasher (LDP7774ST). I found installation videos on youtube and it took me probably 15-20 min to replace. It has been 4 washes since I replaced the dispenser and I am happy. Clean dishes every time. I would recommend this product.
