Good product, just as presented

I will start my review by saying - I used this for a cake - not to put on my truck! My nephew is turing 16 and I always try to make a cake for a 16 year old about their dream car or truck. I asked him what his dream truck would be and apparently, it does not exist! I looked all over for models, pictures, drawings, etc for months. And I had to finally give up on that. I decided that this is the front of his Kit Kat cake. That way he will still get his GMC on, and the cake will be appropriate for a 16 year old. I made the cake square and wrapped the Kit Kats around it. Then stuck this to the front of the cake with frosting and covered up the bottom that has the trademark in small writing with frosting. I made the cake high enough that you can't see the back of the plate when standing over it. I filled the top of the cake with his favorite skittles and home made truffles. He is going to love it! I am so happy to find something GMC that could make his cake so awesome! And for helping me to think outside of the box!

Contrary to the other review There is no possible way on this earth that this plate would come off in the carwash or even a wind tunnel. It is not as thin as stated, but not as thick as a regular license plate. Not shabby, after reading the other review I thought this was really gonna be bad, but I found it just had an innacurate review. It has 4 screw holes to secure it. Use them. I can see it coming off if you taped or glued it on! Lol ................. It's nice, buy it.

Colors were good and fit as expected. A little more flimsy than I would have liked and yet to be seen how the paint holds up in the Arizona sun.

Just what the hubby wanted. Great cheap Christmas gift! Seems as durable as a $20 one! Thanks
