Highly recommend
Good and sharp knife doesn’t seem to dull out quick and stays firm!

The better version.
I want to love this knife, but I only have it for a few days and have not really put it thru some serious use. But so far, everything looks promising. I have the Milwaukee ($10 at the time I bought it), and both equally on stripping insulation jackets from electrical cables. It was no comparison. The Milwaukee knife cutting capabilities diminished on every use. The Southwire knife just kept going. At the end of the day I spent about an hour sharpening the Milwaukee knife. The Southwire still have its edge, almost new with some visible dull spot but still sharper than the Milwaukee. The Southwire Tools & Equipment HBKND2 Edgeforce Hawk Bill Pocket Knife, 2.6" blade, D2 Steel is presently my favorite work knife.

Perfect knife for electricians
Love these hawk bill knives. I have had several. Great for stripping romex and large wire.

Best skinning knife!
Best wire skinning knife ever. I'm a journeyman Lineman and run my knives through hell and back. I have spent 100s of dollars trying to get a skinning knife that could withstand the day to day abuse I put them through. I have found that knife. This knife holds and edge forever. Love it last skinning knife I'll ever buy.

dangerous locking mechanism
The locking mechanism doesn't engage properly allowing the blade to open unknowingly. Maybe I got a dud but I wont buy that model again. Just pay a little more and get the milwaukee, it's almost as thin. Better than this blade digging in your leg.

Liner-lock already at 110% - No blade detent when folded - Pocket clip scratched
1. Liner-lock already at 110% out of the box. No room for liner-lock to wear. It will take a week or two of use for the liner-lock to completely bypass the blade and just rest against the liner, and leave the blade unlocked.2. No blade detent when folded. There is a detent ball, but the detent is as weak as it can be. I can just hold the blade by the handle, and flick it open without using the thumb-studs at all.3. Pocket clip scratched. The packaging leaves the pocket-clip exposed, so this is understandable. And questionable. The paint did not even survive shipping. Not recommended. Too expensive for such low quality control.

Eh.
Purchased the hawkbill, blade is not sharp nor is it comfortable when holding. Also tip develops bend easily
