DeSantis Mini Scabbard, Gun Holster with Secure Grip, Leather Molded, Right Hand Draw, Unisex, Black, FITS:S&W M&P SHIELD 9/40 ,S&W M&P SHIELD M2.0 9/40

Just to paint the picture for you, I am a 63 year old retired Fire-guy, weigh 230lbs am 6'1" tall and carry all the time - everywhere. I am an explorer and spend a lot of time in the desert.. way out away from everything. My needs were for an OWB (outside the waistband) holster that was readily accessible in use, practical, comfortable and durable. AND I didn't want to spend a hundred buck on it. This holster fit all my needs and then some. I bought this for my S&W MP Shield 9mm. This is my first concealed OWB carry holster. I tried IWB holsters before and I just can't see tolerating that every day. OWB works for me since I usually have a sweatshirt, wind breaker of open shirt covering my weapon, and OWB just makes sense for my application and activity. I have only had this holster for less than 2 weeks but have worn it every day and every waking hour during that time. I could not be happier with it. It holds the weapon close to the body, so printing is not an issue and frankly I can't believe that there is another holster out there, at any price, that prints less than this one. The angle is ideal. I initially thought it would be awkward because it does sit pretty high but after I got it, all my doubts were erased. The position and angle of the holster work perfectly when drawing the weapon and stays out of the way when not needed. The fit and finish are excellent. The leather, while thin', is very rigid and fits the weapon like a glove. I did not have to adjust the retention screw out of the box but if needed after break-in, the option is there. Nice. The stitching and finish of the leather are outstanding. When shopping for this, I almost ordered another holster because it had a thumb break and I was very concerned with the weapon falling out when running, kneeling, etc.and liked the idea of the thumb break retaining the weapon, but again, this holster eliminated of all my doubts. It holds my weapon very securely regardless of my activity. I am very happy with this product and highly recommend it to anyone with similar needs. I will be buying another one for my wife as well. I love this holster it’s durable comfortable love that it’s OTW but can use for conceal carry as it’s slim holds tight to the body, one thing I would like to see would be a belt clip design so I didn’t have to undo my belt to put it on and take it off but that is just something I would like so didn’t not take any stars off for that gonna look to see if they make one for Springfield armory Xds mod 2 .45 when I get mine

The holster fits just right. Sits high and is very comfortable. For the price, I have no complaints. It is made of quality materials and very sturdy. The gun is secure and does not come out easily. You can adjust to your liking the amount of pressure that the holster puts on your firearm. Very happy with my purchase.

This is my first holster. I wasn't quite sure what to get and with so many choices I got a bit confused with which ones I had looked at. Honestly I thought I was buying a kydex holster and was surprised to get a leather one but I thought "what the heck, I'll give it a try". I have not worn it a lot but so far it has performed well. It is well made and fits my M&P Shield well. Without having much experience with holsters I can't rate it well against others but my fellow CPL carriers were impressed with its thin profile. I fell pretty confident that it is not noticeable with just a shirt or light jacket covering it. One drawback may be that it is not adjustable for the draw angle but that's what help keep the profile thin.

The holster looks nice and my firearm fits well in it. Problems are: doesn't fit real tight on my belt (I have a 1 1/2 gun belt, and it still isn't very stable); the holster doesn't hold the firearm very tight to the body (behind the hip, the firearm sticks out pretty far and you print pretty bad, but it seems to work ok in front of my hip), U wish I could rate the holster a 3 1/2, but it is definitely not a 4. the DeSAntis Scabbard holds the firearm in real close and does not move around on my belt)

Works great for my MP Shield 9. Leather is thin, but the holster is still very durable. I use it for my EDC, is very comfortable and with the shield, its almost like its not even there. The slightly forward cant in perfect for my 430 carry position and is also very easy for draw and reholster. I had debated on a holster with a thumb break and actually glad I decided on this one. Holds tight and close to the body Have one ordered for my G19 and hoping it hides it as good as it does the shield

I was looking for an OWB holster for my M&P Shield 9mm. I did not read the description as I thought this was a paddle holster and was surprised to find it was a belt loop variety. This fits my Shield like a glove and wears very comfortably. The leather is firm but not too stiff. It rides at a comfortable level and the cant makes it easy to draw. I wore this working for an entire 12 hour day yesterday and never did I think about except when after bending over or working under a counter my cover garment exposed my weapon. This is a good choice for open carry or moderate concealed but probably not for states where deep concealment is required unless adequate cover is provided by a longer jacket or similar cover.
