Lutron RA2 is a Nightmare
Ugh, I have RA2 in my home. What a nightmare. I can't get anyone to come address, and you can't do it yourself. You have to a service provider. And it's hard to find someone to trust.I just don't know with Google Home or Alexa you'd bother with this? Expensive, difficult, and service provider network. I call the local Lutron Rep and they sent me a guy who had a very questionable background online. Ugh.

You want to control with Alexa, but already have some Maestros.
Buy this or get Caseta Wireless Smart Bridge? BTW, Caseta uses yet another RF signal which is not compatible with RA2 or Zigbee or Z-Wave or WiFi. Hence the need for a WiFi-Caseta RF bridge.Where is the breakpoint? I have 5 Maestro switches. The RA2 select should not be prohibitively expensive. If I replace the maestros (which are better), with Casetas, I will spend $250 plus the cost of Caseta Bridge. Another Hub!I already have: Harmony, for entertainment system, Smart things, for Z wave switches, Hue for colored light bulbs, MyQ for garage door. Life Shield for alarm system. Thankfully, no door locks, cameras, or thermostats yet.The Maestros each control at least 4 bulbs, so replacing with Smart bulbs costs more than replacing a single switch.I am trying to limit the number of WiFi devices to plugs. I did replace router as most of us are still using 10 yr old eq. for the days before 20 or more devices. What's a mother to do?

NOT from an actual purchaser
I love seeing the Radio RA2 Select being offered on Amazon. I have the Caseta system and I love it, but I didn't know about the Select system when I was setting mine up; if I had, I probably would have gone that way instead. Both are Lutron systems, and based on my experience with Caseta I'm confident that the Select system is intuitive to set up and reliable. If I had, I probably would have chosen it for these reasons:1) Select allows 100 devices, while Caseta allows 50. That sounds like a lot, but each switch, shade, and remote counts and once you start, you'll want more, so it's not that hard to hit the limit. The Lutron Support Community is full of people worrying about hitting the limit.2) Select has pre-engraved keypads with four buttons for common scenes. This is a nice compromise between full RA2, which has the complex keypads that have to be custom-engraved, and the Caseta system, which only has remotes (I think). It can be difficult to program the remotes to cover every situation.3) Select uses Maestro-style dimmers, which look fancier. And those are the same dimmers used in the full RA2 system, so if you ever decide to upgrade (or sell your place to someone who might want to upgrade) that is a plus. All of that said, I think (and I'm not sure, because it's harder to find pricing for RA2 Select and RA2 components than it is for Caseta) that this bundle is overpriced. Here's what I think each component probably would cost if you bought it from a local electric supply:1) Main Repeater - $3502) Two dimmers - $3003) Scene controller pad - $1004) Wall plate adapter - $6 (same as for Caseta system)5) Remote - $20 (same as for Caseta system)If you are considering purchasing this system, I recommend visiting the Lutron Support Community and browsing the forums there to get a better sense of how people use the systems and what the differences are.
