Last one lasted 30 years, this one probably will also. It is my all purpose screw driver. I’d much rather have to futs with a cord for high power than batteries that quickly die our. Simple features, powerful, high reliability

Perfect Placement
Great tool for drywall screws. I’m no expert, but this tool made installation so easy, each screw was set at perfect depth once I practiced setting the depth on a discard section of drywall. Installing into resilient channel was easy and I highly recommend this tool.

Once it's set up and dialed in this thing is a workhorse! If you're debating on it or still wondering if you should, you should!

Works great. Long lasting.
Drywalled a 2400 sqft home with no problem, just as I would expect from Makita. Ended up taping a 25 foot extension cord to it, so it would not come unplugged dragging it around. Dialed in the depth set first and never had to readjust it again. The only complaint is how easy the forward/reverse leaver switches. I am left handed and the lever is right where my finger squeezes the trigger, so quite a few times put it in reverse just getting my hand into place.

Great driver
DIY use. Put in a few hundred framing and drywall screws. The driver made it fairly quick and painless. I thought the light was a bit of a gimmick until ending up in darker corners. It's actually a nice feature. A light squeeze of the trigger enables the light without engaging the motor. The depth set all worked as expected. I found I had to tweek the setting a little on the first few to get the desired result. No complaints.

Not what I thought I was ordering
I have not bought a power tool in over 25 years. I love my old Makita screw gun and used it daily until I changed careers twenty years ago. Recently when I began to use my old gun it smoked and I assumed it was on its last legs. So I went on line and ordered what I thought was the same thing I already have, knowing the technology would be better, a better battery, and the gun lighter. I began using my old gun and it continued to work perfectly, in spite of being over 30 years old. When I remembered I had bought a new gun, I tried it out and discovered it is not at all the same as what I used for so many years. I hated what it did. I did not know there was a difference between what I already have and what is now offered as a dry wall gun (I had often used my old gun for drywall installation). Sadly my time had expired for an exchange, and I am now stuck with a tool that I hate and have no use for. I would love to exchange it for the correct model I wanted, but alas, Amazon does not offer that option. This review of course doesn't really review the product, but rather reflects my reaction to the Amazon website and it's lack of options.

Love this gun bin using it for a few months and has never failed me it's fast and is easy to hold very light weight and a good clutch you should buy this gun
