Shure SE846-CL-A Professional Headphones

OMG! These things are AMAZING! I had the Shure 5xx series, that I also thought were incredible. But, as the rock band I'm in now is all in ear, no amps and speakers, even the drummer is all electronic, something I'm still getting used to, these Shure SE 846 headphones are heads and shoulders above anything I've ever worn. The fit was perfect, like they were already molded for me. The clarity was so clear, clean and pristine. On top of that, they look super cool in the clear.The new cable they use for these are an added bonus. With the old 5xx series, the cable was very rigid, almost like plastic, at least the feel and the way it would hang. It just wasn't very pliable and would bunch up. With the 846's, the cable is smooth moving and doesn't tug on the insert when you move around a lot.all in all, if you are looking for professional series headphones, with no short comings, and you want something that will be used for more than just listening to music, then spend the extra $$$ and listen to the sounds come alive. You pay for what you get, and if you want the best, you need to pay for it.

Best headphones I have ever tried period. Sound quality is well balanced with excellent tight bass. Although Shure claims to have included sub-woofer like drivers, clearly these are tuned for listening to music and not movies.The headphones come with nozzle inserts that allow biasing between neutral, high and low treble tonal settings. The neutral setting gives the impression that high-end frequencies are cut off. The bright or high treble setting makes the music crisp at the expense slightly reduced bass response.The bass is tight, and beats many larger and more expensive headphones. Compared to Bowers & Wilkins or Sony High Res headphones, the soundstage of SE 846 seems much wider.Even with the high treble bias setting, the headphones seem less responsive to frequencies exceeding 16Khz.

Volume is like the SE535 if no amplifier is used, bass is a little weaker than I expected thats the only reason its a 4star review. 100% original no doubts about it being fake.
