SZCO SUPPLIES 902931-SPL 1860 Cavalry Sword, Black

My second purchase of repro swords by SZCO, both are very different and equally impressive. Very heavy unsharpened blade, which is preferred by myself. Slides in/out of scabbard easily and requires that minor tug to start draw with a nice swoosh. Finish is great, few minor character flaws in the brass, handle very comfortable and tight, with nice wire wrap. Very happy with purchase and recommend sword as a good buy at $46 as compared to others costing much more. I believe it is stainless steel as no rust present. Good job! 5*

Ordered for our wedding for a saber arch. Decent quality what you expect heavy duty and looked great. They are not as fancy as you can get but good if needing to buy many or in a budget.

We used these as rewards for those kids who finished all the class requirements in the junior high aged homeschool co-op class we taught about the Civil War. The kids were all motivated to do the work necessary to earn theirs.I was a little disappointed in what felt to me like a non-attention to detail in the manufacturing process. Several of them didn't fit in the scabbard super well and scraped going in and coming out. Out of the 10 I purchased, only one had to be sent back though because the sword wouldn't come out of the scabbard at all. It was exchanged quickly though, so it all worked out.They came dripping in gun oil. It took several paper towels to wipe down each sword & scabbard. It was great that there was no rust on any of them though.They are solid and fairly heavy.Overall, I'd buy them again. Just make sure you buy them early enough that you can make exchanges if needed.

My son loved the sword and was really happy with it. He complained about the oil on it but I explained to him that it was probably an anti-corrosive oil.

I like it because it appears to be solid and well made . It arrived well oiled and secured in bubble wrap with padding in each end of the box to make sure it stayed in place . I'm no expert in Civil War sabers so I can't tell you how close it is to the "Model 1840 Wristbreaker " . The price beats any I've seen from the sutlers in their online catalogs costing $ 160 .00 plus Shipping .

I’ve always wanted to Calvary sword. This is amazing. It’s so beautiful. I don’t understand how they can sell it for this price, but I’m very grateful.

It’s difficult to imagine getting a better quality product for $50. This sword is exactly as described and as pictured. Looks great, very sturdy, blade holds an edge once you add it.
