Simon & Garfunkel - Guitar Play-Along Vol. 147 Book/Online Audio (Guitar Play-Along, 147) Paperback – June 1, 2012

Recently, I purchased a no-longer sold Fender GDEC3 thirty watt amp which has as it's main feature the ability to play backing tracks from it's SDCARD slot. It came with a collection of all of the GDEC3 "Play-Along" Book/SD sets that were available for it.Unfortunately, since Fender cancelled this GDEC3 amp, I have to create my own SDCARDS for it. Using iTunes on my Mac, I set iTunes General Preferences/Import Settings to Import Using WAV encoder so that when I insert the accompanying CD backing tracks, they are Automatically Imported into iTunes as WAV files. I then copy them by simply dragging them out of iTunes and into the Audio folder on a GDEC3 formatted SD card.After that, I can play along with the backing tracks directly on my GDEC3 amp!It's a wonderful way to learn new guitar music.

Found this to be an excellent tool to learn or, in my case, re-learn some classic S&G tunes. The tabs are clear and accurate, and disc was very helpful also. If you're a beginner or someone who is a visual learner, and really needs to SEE what you need to play, then you might want to try to find a video instruction CD of some sort. But if you're moderately skilled at fingerpicking or higher, and can generally get what you need to know from tablature, then this is a great value.

I'm not a beginner, but I'm not an expert either. This book is just too hard for me at this point.
