DSTE Replacement for 2X D-Li109 Li-ion Battery Compatible Pentax K-R K-30 K-50 K-500 KR K30 K50 K500 K-S1 K-S2 K-70 Camera

This has been my backup for 5 years now...has been as reliable as the original Pentax battery. At 7.4 volts, it is rated at 2100 mAh versus the Pentax battery at 1050 mAh and with a rating of 15.5 Wh v the Pentax at 7.8 Wh, it is roughly equivalent when all is said and done. I am going to purchase another because both batteries have had a lot of use and the capacity of each is falling.

Update 2023.08.26: Today I put these into my Pentax K-70, and found that they would no longer come out of the battery compartment of their own accord. The batteries had swollen enough that it took some bumping to coax them back out.Swollen Lithium-ion batteries are usually bad news, and they will probably have to be safely disposed of. I purchased these in July 2017. Since consumer Li-Ion batteries are usually rated for three years or 300-500 charge cycles, I figure I did okay with this set, so I'm not knocking a star off.- - -I bought a pair of these prior to a trip to Scotland to supplement the OEM battery, so that I would have fresh power at the ready. Both work fine in my K-S2 camera and on my Pentax OEM charger. I can't prove it, but it *feels* like these have slightly more power capacity that Pentax's own OEM batteries.In any case: Recommended.

So far I am very happy with the quality of these batteries. They seem to outlast the original battery and am able to take hundreds of pictures without worrying about the battery.

These are replacement for my digital SLR Camera. The one that came with camera is still doing well. But the two after market batteries I purchased (and used alternately) have bit the dust. They were a different brand than these. I trust that these will last longer than the previous set which served me well - just not the same excellent quality as the Camera's original battery.These look good, charge quickly, appear to hold a charge well and fit the Camera well.A word of caution - if a battery of this type becomes difficult to insert and remove from your camera - it is about to hit the dust. I observed that when they get to old and are to used up - they may begin to swell slightly. That can be your first warning sign that the are about to reach the end of their life Cycle. The battery life on these batteries is almost exactly equal to the factory battery that came with my camera (Pentax K-70). I rotate the batteries after a charge has been depleted and I get very consistent results. With video, I have been able to record up to one hour of near non-stop footage before the battery dies. Overall I have been very pleased with them and the price was modest.

They came charged, the charger works, and they fit into my K-70. I can't tell you yet if they last as long as the OEM battery, but these cost about $6 each and the OEM battery costs over $60. Do the math. Even if they only last until the OEM battery is charged, I'm happy to have an emergency backup.I'll update this review after I've used these a month or two and let you know how they hold up.

This two-pack of batteries is a great way to supplement what came with the camera. I keep them charged up and in my bag ... amazing how many times I run out of power and need to throw in a fresh battery! So far they last every bit as long as the original, no problems at all. When and if I need more, I'll come back again - and recommend you do the same.

Based on my personal experience I found these batteries to be a poor replacement for the OEM. Battery life was less than or just about the half of the official Pentax version for the KP. Also they began to swell with one of them actually squishing when pressed slightly so as for longevity not recommended. My recommendation would either spend the money for quality and perchance the official Pentax battery or another third party that has better actual less hyped reviews.
