Otherwise the bolt head is tough to get a hex wrench on and you would need a ballend hex to tighten. Attach it beforehand and you’ll be set.

Overall a great product that solves a problem of matching my M8120 shimano XT brake to an X1 sram shifter.However, it is missing the flange that keeps the shifter mounted to the i-spec ii. I thought a bit of extra torque on the brake lever mounting bolt would hold everything in place.I learned the hard way that this doesn't solve the problem. My shifter wiggled out in the middle of a race, dropping the shifter into the wheel, causing a headache to sort out.I had high hopes, but I may have to look elsewhere for a replacement as I don't think there are any workarounds.

Complete garbage. Had it mounted on shimano brakes for my dropper post, it snapped within 2 months of owning it. Save your money and buy a brand name.

This mount does exactly what it is supposed to do. Clean up your cockpit and also break away incase of a crash. You should carry zip ties in case you need to secure something like an $80 dollar part because an $11 part broke.
