Color:Grey The Link by Kershaw is the ‘link’ between tactical quality and affordability. With a steel blade and machined aluminum handle working together for durability, vintage appeal, strength, innovation and safety, the Link can skin a deer, whittle fence posts, cut through seat belts, debone fish or even make the perfect gift for self-defense and everyday carry. Made for sleek comfort and ambidextrous use, the Link has a 3.25-inch blade of 420HC stainless steel that is tough, easy to sharpen and takes a good edge. Equally useful on the ranch, at the bayou or in the garage, the Link is an all-purpose, long-lasting personal pocketknife made in America for users who respect and value the features that make Kershaw’s knives famous. Featured packed, the Link’s SpeedSafe Assisted Opening offers fast, authoritative blade release while a flipper moves blade easily out of the handle, a liner lock stabilizes the blade during use and the reversible pocketclip allows for safe tip up, tip down carry.

My new EDC
Excellent EDC. Can't beat the quality and price for an American made knife. I have fairly large hands and this is perfect for me. Speed Safe assisted opening works great with the flipper. Took a little getting used to going from my other (also excellent) EDC knife the Kershaw Tanto Blur. This knife although large also seems like more of a gentlman's knife than my Blur which has more of the tactical look in all black with highly textured scales. This Link has a clean looking aluminum handle that feels great in the hand. The blade has the Kershaw BlackWash finish which makes it instantly look like your trusty old knife. Kershaw used the 420HC steel on this which a great all around steel and holds a great edge. I love the drop point blade shape which is the most all around useful shape IMHO. I have gotten more comments from this knife in a few months than several years of carrying my Blur.

ZT design at an everyday man's price!
Very happy that Kershaw is finally bringing more production back home to the USA. This knife is a fantastic start to what will hopefully become a growing line of affordable, well made, USA produced knives. The ergos on this knife are okay, not personally my favorite. The hump on the back strap of the handle makes for a semi-uncomfortable grip when held in a hammer grip. However, I feel like these days most knife companies design knives to be comfortable for a saber grip, even though you almost never use a saber grip when using a knife in everyday practice. A hammer grip is far more practical, and useful of a grip than a saber grip will ever be, but I digress...The gray/purple-ish handle color is very attractive and eye-catching. I really love it. I also really love the aggressive looking blade shape that offers a continuous belly with slicing in mind! The blade steel (420HC) is a good compromise between quality and affordability considering it is a USA-made knife that is going to demand a higher price than it's Chinese made counterparts. The blade geometry and grind are always impeccable from Kershaw, so this doesn't even really come into question here. This knife cuts like a beast! Very slicey! The assisted opening is also fantastic, and the blade springs open with authority. Finally, the stone wash blade finish is a nice compliment to an already great looking design. I would recommend this knife any day of the week. This is essentially a ZT knife design at an everyday man's price! Also, for those that like this knife, Kershaw just released a sneak peak of a new version of this knife to be released in the future. It's going to have red aluminum handle scales and S35VN stainless steel!

Thank you Kershaw
Gosh do I love this knife. It is such a good looking knife and feels great in your hand. Plus it is made in the US and at this price that is truly a bargain. The blade comes sharp out of the box but i touched it up anyways. Now it is scary sharp. I particularly like the pocket clip on this knife, it is not deep carry but it slides on and off your pocket really nicely. You dont have to worry about it falling out of your pocket though it is plenty secure. Lanyard hole is nice and big. Overall this is one of my favorite knifes for its practicality, look, make, and price.

I love this damn knife
I love this damn knife. I use the Link as my EDC and keep it sharp effectively with the Smith and Wesson pocket sharpener. The handle and blade are of what appears to be good quality materials and feels extremely sturdy. The length and width of the blade are great for slicing and cutting things. It comes extremely sharp, most likely a 15 degree angle, that stayed for quite a while before needing a sharpening. The blade itself is prone to staining from water and hand oils. Water will remove the oil and leave a light mark and hands will make a dark mark. I encourage buyers to oil their knives a little to avoid staining, but it's hardly an issue. The stonewash is beautiful and the handle matte look is wonderful. The speedsafe took a bit to break in and make very quick, but once it is broken in, it's very nice. There's a satisfying click as the blade locks in that is deeper and louder than any other Kershaw I've owned. This knife is by no means deep carry which is a little annoying to me. Everyone will notice you have a knife in your pocket and will be impressed with how beautiful this knife is. Came packaged in a Kershaw box with bubble wrap, didn't have a single issue with shipping.Pros: Very sharp, Heavier weight, Great materials, American Made, CheapCons: Blade can stain, dust can collect in the handle easily, not deep carry.

excellent value for a USA made knife.
I really liked somethings about this knife. 1.the price for a made in america knife 2. came very sharp out of the box 3. great lockup and centering. 4. great EDC size 5. very slim 6. fun blade finishI didnt like a few other things. 1 it became very slippery if your hands are sweating due to lack of jimping and slick finished handle 2. the flipper tented to dig into my finger 3. found I dont prefer closing a assisted knife with one hand. It is doable but not idea. This is not so much a knock on the knife but this design in general. You may however not find it a problem. 4. The pocket clip, to bad its not deep pocket carry. If you want an assisted flipper for short money that is high in quality I would suggest this. I am not a big kershaw fan but still liked this knife with its short comings. But for the money I think I would go with a Spyderco Persistance or a Dragonfly salt SEh1 for around the same price over this.

A decent quality knife.
The 420HC blade steel Link, in either the aluminium or GRN handle, is a decent quality knife. I've bought six of these Links, and given two of the GRN handled 1776's away as gifts. I like the feel of the GRN handle, and like the looks of the aluminium handle. I don't think you could go wrong with any of these Links. The 1812 Dividend is also a decent quality knife in either version, and is a little more EDC weight friendly. Both are very nice, its just a matter of what you like. My photos show versions of Links, Dividends, and a Leek for comparison purposes.
