To help decrease clouding and bubbles in the line, don't forget to fill and let sit for about 15 minutes before installing.I've tried another, low cost brand and found it would not fit my Kitchenaid refrigerator. I'm sticking with Swift for now on. The company does accept used filters for recycling.

The installation of the filter proved especially difficult and I thought I had the wrong product. I didn't know whether to call my refrigerator manufacturer or a local electrician plumber. Instead I called up the Swift Green customer service. Make sure you have their number which is on the packaging and directions. I was transferred to a product engineer who had me call him back on a FaceTime number and he was able to watch me install the filter. The whole problem was I hadn't twisted it in completely until you hear a rush of water filling the filter. When you remove a filter, the water supply is automatically turned off so it doesn't flood your refrigerator. The people at Swift Green were amazingly sure and efficient and showed me exactly a duplicate of what my internal piping looked like and how it needs to be hooked up. Better service can't be had!!

After checking a dozen web sites for best price on these water filters for my whirlpool refrigerator, I purchased them from Amazon. This is the second time I've ordered the package of 3 because it's the most cost effective way to purchase them and there is no expiration date. I replace the filters about every 6 months, so this pack of 3 will last me 1.5 years. (advance math need to figure that out). Filters both drinking water from the dispenser and the water for the ice-maker. Works great and I will be placing my 3d order when the time comes.

Great filter, easy to install. I'm on my third set of these and they filter and cost so much better than stock filters. Also not made in china. Very happy.

Went to replace my old Swift SGF-M9-3 filter with a new one. Went hummm when I noticed the new one didn't come with the black O Ring in the collar. I installed the new one and water is leaking everywhere. What the ......!. Reading others are saying the filter is newly designed and the O Ring is not needed, my rear end! And it definitely is redesigned as the O Ring from the old filter does not fit into the new designed filter.So get this, as far as I'm concerned the old filter with the O RIng that did work somehow damaged the water dispenser head assembly in my Maytag Refrigerator. The OEM Maytag PUR filters which I had always used previously(changed out, buying the PUR filter eight times or so) now no longer work. They won't seat properly, creating next to no flow when trying to fill a glass and a loud groan when the filter fills or tries to dispense.I'm guessing it will be a $200 repair for a new head assembly.
