Groomer's Best Standard Floor Grate, 36-inch

Although I found this grate much cheaper (and bought two more) at a farm store after I bought this one, this still did what it said and I got it when the shipping said I'd get it.I used this one to place over a bath tube to create a non-slippery platform to bath our big dogs during the winter. It put the dogs up in easy reach and let the water drain into the tub. Works great. Supports 60 to 75 pound dogs with very little flex. The cheaper one's I bought will be used for an outdoor dog bath I'm building.

I'm a professional dog groomer and have a professional grooming tub. The grate in my current tub is low and can hurt my back when I wash smaller dogs. I ordered this product so I could have a little more elevation. $135 is not a good price for this product. First of all the legs are made of wood, so over time, and especially in my profession, those are going to be slimy and covered with mildew real fast. Not just covered with mildew but also give out because everybody knows wood and water don't mix. 2nd the grate on this thing is not meant for dog's Paws to be on. Highly recommend putting a towel or a bath mat of some sort on it before you put your dog on it because the dog's toes will get stuck! I'm going to have my husband use the same idea and make me something because this is just not going to last.

A bit over priced

I have had three dogs get their toes stuck in this grate! All of them were medium sized, short hair mixes. In all instances, their two middle toes went into a hole and then were very hard to get out. Luckily, all of them stayed calm while I worked to get them unstuck. If they had panicked, they could have really hurt themselves. Other than that huge issue, the grate serves it's purpose. I'm not happy that I needed it in the first place, but since my new groomers best tub was built so out of level that it would not drain ( despite the leg levelers being out as far as possible to try to offset the problem), the grate was necessary.

Sturdy, lightweight, holds up to small and medium dogs without difficulty making bathing so much easier on a reasonable budget. In order to avoid paws getting caught in grate I use a mat over surface which makes that a non issue. Highly recommend!

Just what I was looking for to wash the smaller dogs in my grooming shop!

A must have for your dog bathing tub. The hinged panel allows for easy access to your strainer, making cleaning a breeze. Towel drying in the tub is now possible without the towel getting saturated. LOVE IT.

Will not last, the plastic is the same type as the side of a shopping cart, the hinges are metal and poorly placed in the plastic making it open crooked, and the screws in the hinges are the only part of this product that is "stainless steel".
