Belkin n52te Tournament Edition Game Pad

Being an owner of the previous model N52 Speedpad I was excited to get the new N52te. The N52te is superior in every way to the N52 except for one major flaw. The old N52 had a macro feature that would alow you to run a macro by pressing whatever button you assigned it to and it would run that macro until you pressed the same button again. The N52te does NOT have this feature. O_o Instead you can run a macro until you press any button. Well quite frankly that feature sucks because most of the game I play with this require me to press other buttons while I want my macros running. With the N52te your macro will stop as soon as you push any button. EPIC FAIL!!!The bad part is after doing a bunch of research on this apparently Belkin acknowdged the fact that users were ranting heavily about this and promised to update the software with that feature added. As far as I can tell it has been about 2 or 2.5 years since Belkin made that statement on their forums and they have yet to update the software....again EPIC FAIL...The only reason I gave it 3 stars instead of one is because if you happen not to need this particular feature then it would most likely be a 5 star product for you.

What killed my n52te gamepad (had it for ten years plus?) was outdated software. After a move cross-country, it is buried in still-unopened boxes in storage. But if I could find updated drivers and software compatible with Windows 10, I would definitely go digging for it.

Drivers were nearly impossible to find when I first bought it. RAZER took over and bought this out from Belkin and fixed the drivers issue.Belkin is garbage. Always has been, always will be... they are like the Gateway of computer peripherals... chintzy parts, crappy software, useless drivers, and even worse everything else. It is no wonder Apple uses and sells so many of their products... takes one loser company to know another loser company.

Terrible customer support, items are CONSTANTLY being discontinued and marked "obsolete". They will offer you a worthless credit to the belkin website, which only sells hot garbage. You'll never get a replacement when this breaks (in short time). Avoid ANYTHING sold by Belkin, especially not their "smart home" devices. (I know this is a gaming peripheral, I own a broken one, they don't make gaming peripherals any longer).

this is a significant step down from the original n52. the software is buggy, macro execution fails if there's mouse clicks in macro. Also macros fail to complete and lock controller in shift state if utilizing d-pad. all these worked fine with the original n52 and it's software.I'll be sending mine back first thing monday and looking for a left over n52 still out there or will adapt to utilizing logitech's G13. Which is too bad I enjoyed my original N52 and only need replace it now due to physically wearing out from use over the years.summary, N52 was a great product with excellent software. N52te may equally be a great product but it is saddled with terrible software which ruins this device.note operated device under it's current software and firmware. driver v2.1.2 and firmware v1.04

Belkin no longer makes these. Razor does now and you can get one for <$100...

Ottima la qualità costruttiva ed i materiali utilizzati. Robusto e, secondo me, con una buona ergonomia. Inizialmente si fatica un po' ad abituarsi, ma una impostato a dovere permette di giocare in maniera gradevole e precisa (testato principalmente con mmorpg vari).

Je voulais surtout tester cette "pad". Je suis surpris par l'ergonomie qui est trés bien étudiée (pour les grandes mains, le repose poignet se deplace).Eclairage excellent, couleur bleue.Je teste sur un jeux simple type skyrim et affecte les touches .... 16 touches c'est superbe ... mais pour avoir joué quelques MMMO ca me semble leger ... Quelques minutes de reflexions et je trouve non pas 16 mais 16x8 touches programmables avec ou sans macro tres facile a faire soit 128 touches par jeux (profils).J'ai testé sur un MMO : Aion puis WoW.... PARFAITJ'attends desormais la fin du mois pour utiliser sur Guild Wars 2.Je conseille a 100%NB: la pad directionnelle est souvent critiquée mais elle me semble parfait dans sa disposition. Il faut simplement apprendre a son corps a utiliser le pouce gauche .. et cela peux se terminer par une petite inflammation du pouce que l on peux eviter en ne depassant pas 3h de manipulation d affilée au debut.

Hi.Hier in meiner Rezension beschreibe ich ein paar Eindrücke und auch Änderungen am n52te welche ich vorgenommen habe.Ich habe mir das n52te Nostromo Speedpad hauptsächlich für WOW geholt.Nach anfänglichen Problemen mit dem Laufen und dem Steuerkreuz bin ich sehr zufrieden mit der Handhabung. Es dauerte ca. 4 Tage bis ich mich fehlerfrei umgewöhnt hatte.Die Software ist nicht so hübsch gemacht wie die von Logitech, aber nach ein paar Versuchen funktioniert sie dennoch überraschend gut und bietet den selben Funktionsumfang wie die Logitech Software.Ich habe Handschuhgröße 7-8 und komme wunderbar an alle Tasten ran, auch an die unten liegende Daumentaste komme ich durch abkippen der Hand nach rechts perfekt ran. Ich drücke die Taste also während ich das Steuerkreuz mit dem Daumen bediene mit dem Handballen. Ich könnte mir aber vorstellen das Leute mit wirklich großen Händen nicht an die untersten 4 Tasten kommen ohne sich was zu brechen.....Das Steuerkreuz mit dem aufgesteckten "Pilz" ist viel zu rutschig ( vor allem im Sommer"" ) und bohrt sich zu wenig in den Daumen als das man damit gut Steuern könnte. Als Lösung für dieses Problem habe ich den Pilz-Joystick abgenommen und auf das Steuerkreuz ein rundes Stück von diesen Antirutschmatten geklebt welche man im Auto benutzt damit die Sonnenbrille auf dem Armaturenbrett nicht wegrutscht. Diese Lösung ist so genial wie sie einfach ist...... Jetzt rutsch ich nicht mehr weg und gleichzeitig ist es weich gepolstert :-)Übrigens für alle Leute die hier in den Bewertungen behaupten man kann nicht diagonal oder keine Kreise laufen mit dem Steuerkreuz und es würde nur ruckeln, das stimmt NICHT !! allerdings muss man ein wenig tricksen denn im Auslieferungszustand geht es wirklich nicht.Der " Trick " den ich dann nach ca. 1 Stunde raushatte besteht einfach darin ---------TIP ENTFERNT---------- und schon läuft man EXAKT so wie mit WASDHier noch ein paar kleinigkeiten die nicht so optimal sind: 1: Die zu helle LED habe ich mit Tesafilm überklebt und dann mit einem Schwarzen Edding übermalt jetzt leuchtet sie genau richtig. 2: Die Tasten lassen sich wenn man drauf achtet schwer drücken aber wenn man es einfach benutzt fällt dies garnicht auf und verhindert in Stressigen Situationen auch mal einen falschen Tastendruck. 3: Die Beleuchtung der Tasten die man ein und ausschalten kann ist schlecht umgesetzt weil es um die Tasten herum mehr leuchtet als die eigentliche Beschriftung. 4: Das USB Kabel ist viel zu kurz und reicht nicht vom Tisch runter bis zum PC. 5: Die Gummifüße vom n52te verschmutzen recht leicht mit Staub und rutschen dann doch... um das zu verhindern steht es bei mir auf dem Stück Antirutschmatte wie oben erwähnt bombenfest.Alles in allem ein gelungenes Produkt welches auf jeden Fall 5 Sterne verdient hat und im direkten Vergleich meiner Meinung nach dem Logitech G13 klar zu bevorzugen ist.Ich hoffe die Rezension ist Informativ und erleichtert euch die Entscheidung für oder gegen das Belkin n52te.

This gamepad is great. I use it on a very simply but functional level for World of Warcraft. The adjustment from standard keyboard to the game pad was a bit steep primarily due to muscle memory. Once the adjustment is made, however, it is considerably better. The physical positioning of the game pad is far superior and has saved my wrist a lot of strain. I have large hands so the spacing of the keys is slightly tight but moving the hand rest backward made a big difference. This is a must for any serious gamer who wants to be more efficient and have a greater number of buttons at their disposal quickly and easily.

This device is great. It takes some getting used to, and I warn you, your K/D will suffer while you do. Best come to terms with the Nostromo offline.Comfortable fit, althought the "space button" is a bit beyond reach of my thumb. Not a problem, as I mapped the round button on top of the direction pad as the "jump" action which works well.Another annoyance is the lack of number keys. Anyone who playes online will know of the imporance of being able to flick thorugh your arsenal. However, these I've mapped to the directional keys (up-1, right=2, and so on). This works well, and is actually helping now.All in all... Good product. I bought it cos I was getting back ache from hovering my arm over my desk. This allows me to bring my elbow down to the arm rest and is a great addition to my desk.
